You must be disgusted with your beloved blueshirts increasing minimum wage on at least 4 separate occasions

You know full well I’m talking about playing politics with the wages and salaries of politicians. Minimum wage legislation and protection is to be welcomed across the political spectrum. It’s a damn sight different to politicians claiming the are only claiming the average industrial wage, while willingly returning money to party coffers etc.

Yes, nobody cares what people do with their own money. Trotskyist trade unionists claiming that senior officials should take only the average worker’s wage are likewise hypocrites and charlatans in equal measure. Aside from the transparent and infantile gaslighting, what more insidious message could you relay to employers than claim that any worker should be paid less than the rate for the job? Or that senior officials should be paid less than those junior to them? I have zero patience with these posturing popinjays.

Even the most basic clerical officer role in the public service requires applicants to go through an interview and evaluation process. When the barrier to entry is limited to who your relative is, we are onto a winner. But yea, nobody cares what people do with tax payers money

Up until the 90s they were appointments within the PS. A PO or and AP would get the gig and would advise them on policy in the Department etc. since the 90s they are more party loyalists who are the eyes and ears of the minister separate to the Department. As a result the number one requirement for them is that they are loyal to the TD in question. Same for every party. This appointment is not unique. It’s in line with every other such appointment. It’s the same with opposition parties and their parliamentary assistants.

Ex-British soldier and Irish “patriot” Rowan Croft, who’s running as an independent doesn’t even know the correct name of the constituency he’s running in. Thinks he running for election in Dublin North Central which has been the name of it since 2016.
If their ideology wasn’t so dangerous, their stupidity would be laughable.

Read this commentary online from a far left poster regarding the far right.
The former leader of the far right National Party seems to have setup a new party "Clann Éireann" (as yet unregistered) and gives a comical first speech. There is now 5 far right Irish political parties as far as I can tell. The whole thing wreaks of Kremlin/foreign influence. Two of the parties are established more than two years. - The National Party (registered) - The Irish Freedom Party (registered) Three of them are recently setup. - Clann Éireann (unregistered) - Ireland First (registered) - The Irish People (registered) He may have a point as Russia has it's tentacles and influence everywhere these days although OohAhh will probably disagree. However this begs the question are they also militarizing the flow of refugees to Ireland. We know they're behind the huge numbers trying to illegally cross into Eastern Europe. They likely have a hand in the Mediterranean crisis also. Who's to say they've not been promoting the movement into Ireland too? They'd hardly go to the effort of sponsoring far right parties without giving people a reason to vote for them?

What does "militarizing the flow of refugees to Ireland" mean? Genuine question.

Russia uses it's influence to push increased numbers of migrants into countries to destabilise them socially and a knock on effect politically. They know the degraded situation socially leads to the increase in popularity of the far right. An EU ruled by far right or right leaning parties will be more favourable to Russia. You already have a number of pro Russian EU countries. Hungary and Slovakia. The more they get on board the better.

No chance they’re involved with the dolly mixture that’s the ‘organised’ Irish far right. Russia has used migration as a political weapon on its borders, but really limited to that area.

Well it's not. Once they push them through to any EU country, they are free to travel all around the sheghan without visas, etc once they claim asylum in one of them - and then somehow get to ireland And then you have this problem: "Currently, between half and 70% of international protection applicants in Ireland have already applied for the status in another European country. " (Stat given by helen mcentee here: https://www.newstalk.com/news/nothing-that-doesnt-benefit-ireland-in-eu-asylum-pact-mcentee-1710923

So the far left claiming the far right are Russian asset's are lunatics for thinking so? Caught my attention because I know this is a strategy they've employed elsewhere in the EU. Someone had to advertise to all these "refugees" coming here from other parts of Europe (Safe countries).
