Sheahan is an asshole.
He has an absolute nightmare in that interview. Some of the videos on Twitter of the Garda behavior is very concerning. Evicting a blind person out of a house! The Garda are usually neck deep in everything and anything, and very rarely are held accountable. Oddly enough, the same day, (Hannon show or whatever it's called) the reports into the Army's behaviour into the rape and bulling of their own staff. Where no one is being held accountable. I assumed Sheahan was a politician watching the video until I read the comments.
I recognised his media profile when I googled him. That's utterly embarrassing, he's an ffing journalist. Edited by Artie Ziff - 04 Apr 2023 at 10:22pm |

my favourite part of that Sheahan clip is throwing in a comment about the artist and "how he views the PSNI" as if that was some sort of "gotcha"
absolutely embarrassing behaviour

25 years of the GFA being celebrated this weekend with a lot of events around the country. It was a monumental achievement, and the culmination of gradual cooperation on the part of once entrenched mindsets. A lot of key individuals have left this world, and others are settling into political retirement. For years to come, the Agreement will be venerated as an achievement, and hopefully in time Stormont will return to function.

It was a monumental achievement and should be celebrated, but I'd be sceptical going forward. Now that the unionists are becoming a minority, they seem unable to accept that. Will be interesting to see where we are in 5 years time

The GFA was a massive victory for Unionism.

Hopefully they can return to the maturity that guided the spirit of 1998.

The GFA gave Britain a permanent say in the governance of Ireland.

But that wasn't going to change if the GFA wasn't signed. And it cant be permanent if it permits, at some time in the future, for reunification to happen.

Never actually read the agreement. But the DUP/UDA are still calling the shots.

What did SF get from the deal? The Unionists got the IRA to disband, they got the Irish government to handover the sovereign entitlement to the 6 counties. This simply couldn't have gone any better for Unionism. Nationalists got SFA.

That is a fact. It is a verifiable fact. Not a ‘perspective.’
