Sinners against abortion. Hence why they are left-leaning and conservative!

Peadar Tobin TD for Meath West, ex SF formed Aontu after he publically called for a No vote in the R8 referendum.

Unlikely to be re-elected - Navan quite a SF stronghold. They'll vote for the party and not the individual.
He’ll get back in alright has a big personal vote

It’s actually remarkable how many independent parties are running in this election. Several have their genesis in other parties, while others are organic. I think this will be the first election for some, for others I suspect their first and last, and others their last.

Aye. Came across like a creepy needy aul lad who is in desperate need of company down the pub. Like one of them lads who would shake your hand and use their other in that creepy handshake where someone puts their left hand on the back of your right hand sandwiching your right hand.

My views

Varadker and Martin are pretty much the same just disagreeing with each other despite thinking the exact same

Mary Lou came across well I thought when she was allowed to speak which wasn't a lot due the above two

If Ryan comes to power he should legalise whatever he was on last night because he was so far out there I don't think he knew what he was actually talking about.

The labour lad seems like a nice ol'fella you'd meet down the pub and chat with for a bit but want to get away from as quickly as possible.

not even sure what or why the social democrats one was doing there, offered nothing, seemed to jsut be talking for the sake of talking.

Boyd Barrett came across well, got the crowd going, looked like he was going out for a couple of pints with the lads later. He said all the right things but I'd doubt whether he'd be able to put them into practice if they were ever elected.

to summarize I think we're f**ked

These are the moments when being in terminal opposition is slightly worthwhile. Tag onto the coat-tails of failings and complain about them. The Shinners try, but don’t have the same freedom as the Trots, as they are PowerShare in the North (not that that always stops them).

Boyd spoke well

Martin very poor & interrupting far too much

Leo poor

Shorthall spoke well but no enough

Mary Lou could’ve been better

Howlin barely opened his mouth

Ryan did ok

I've heard RBB be called plenty of things over the years, but 'champagne socialist' is definitely a first! How exactly have you arrived at that conclusion?

I don’t know is Leo trying the Bojo approach of say as little as possible. That might work if there was a lead in the polls but there is an outside possibility of FG returning to 2002 levels.

Very uninspiring debate with the main players putting in awful performances. Leo was pathetic and didn't seem to realise he was involved in a debate, Micheál another Fianna Fail snake who provides nothing but bullsh*t, Mary Lou in general was disappointing and didn't seem to have the appetite for it.
