3rd/4th place play off game this morning.

The game nobody wants to play in.
Wales make 9 changes and I suspect NZ will want to put in a big performance.

NZ are evens at -20 tho so no value in the betting.

Ireland would love to play in one!

SA with most of the play but that missed penalty means it 3-3 now.
England not playing at the level of last weekend.

A four minute and twenty phase advantage! Crazy refereeing!

South African forwards have been excellent though.

SA have been dominant save for the 25-30 phases in the 22

On top in scrummaging and England’s Lineouts have been disrupted.

They have the 6pts lead which is a fair reflection of the 1st half.
England need to play much better. Too many mistakes.

Were there not 3 pens conceded during those 20 phases?

England looking like a team who've spent a week believing they only had to turn up to win, then it kicks off, they find they're in a huge contest and it's very hard to change that initial mindset.

5 live might not have helped by seeming to already give them the trophy during their week long buildup

After the initial penalty there was over twenty phases to the second penalty, you can tell from the two places he offered Farrell to kick from. As soon as England started going backwards he should have blown up.

South Africa had an advantage removed in about a minute and a couple of phases earlier.

You would expect a better level in a final. He gave South Africa a penalty earlier that was blatantly the other way.

In fairness to the media over here they at least waited until after a World Cup semi-final, Ireland received it from the Irish media eighteen months ago!

Hans, if New Zealand are a media con job, then why did you place that bet for South Africa to win and England as runners up?

For that to happen the con job would have to beat South Africa in the group stages (which the did) to avoid playing England in the semi final.

Surely you would have thought SA would beat the con job in the group?

The groups were padding. Pure fluff. Surely you recognise this?

40 matches and about 3 of them actually important. Whether New Zealand beat South Africa or vice versa, it never really mattered much. Both knew 2 years ago that they were going to be in the QF.

You need a little bit of luck in straight forecasts. South Africa 1st England 2nd was huge odds. I did because I reckon they are the 2 top sides in the world.

Btw just because New Zealand are a PR con job, which they clearly are, doesn't mean they are a side at Ireland's level or something like that. They are still a good side obviously, just not invincible as all the bluff media consistently let on.

What a call Hans.

SA to lose to NZ in the group stage but win overall v England!

Do tell us the odds?
