Excellent list, cheers.
In terms of players you could add to being eligible: - Armstrong Okoflex: Dublin born and bred, has played for England in some friendlies at U16 - not an agegroup relevant for fifa rules - so in theory available to us afaik if he wanted and was asked. Could be an ideal opportunity to get him back involved - into a winning team with a real chance of doing well. This age-group beat the Dutch recently, so no reason we shouldn't be going into this competition looking to win it. - Gavin Bazunu Possibly have a look at one or two of the lads that stood out for the U17s recently: - Joe Hodge at Man City - has some physical development to go, but an excellent prospect; - Matt Everitt at Bristol - Sobowale - the Man City centre half - Festy Ebosele - I was impressed with his appearances and I think he just won the Academy league in England...

The attacking options are unreal for the team. It really is a top team the more you look at all the players that could be involved. Hopefully they are all released by their clubs. Didn’t even realise Obafemi and Coventry were eligible up until recently. Those two along with Connell and Collins making appearances in the championship and most of the others staring for u23 teams like Connolly and Idah getting the POTY at their respective clubs.

Well done Mystic Meg, wonder what odds ill get for them results.
With everyone fit and available we could win this thing. Will we have a full squad to pick from though I doubt it very much.

If we pick a full squad then we’ll have no reason to fear the French.

French have a smashing side and along with Portugal are one of the favourites to win it outright, presuming the Norwegians don't include alfe-inge hallands son Earling as he is currently playing for the Norwegians u20's at the u20 World Cup in Poland I think we would have too much for them. Incidentally Erling Halland scored Nine goals for Norway in a 12-0 win over Honduras yesterday.

The Norwegians have been producing some excellent underage players in recent years. The current U20 squad is a particularly good crop. However, only 4 of the 21 players in their U20 squad are eligible for the U19 Euros - Haaland being one of them. Whether they'll be called-up for the U19 tournament so soon after playing in a World Cup remains to be seen. It also goes without saying that the French will be strong. However, given the manner in which Ireland qualified for the Finals (as the only team with a 100% record) and provided we send close to a full-strength squad, there should be nothing to fear. This might well be the strongest Irish underage team since Brian Kerr's squad that travelled to Cyprus in 1998.

Any club manager would hardly like their players playing in two international tournaments during the summer I'd imagine most national fa's would come to some type of agreement with clubs on this.

That just shows the quality available at this age grade. I think Smallbone has to be in the squad.

I edited the post to include Brandon Kavanagh whos playing some great studf for Rovers latley, but I would have Connell left back.
If that was the squad there would be only 3 English born in the squad which shows that the good work is deffo been done at youth level in Ireland. Great to see.
