West Brom in 2005? Or am I confusing it with them being the first team to be bottom at Christmas and to beat relegation?

TREZEGUETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!

The 42 year old French World Cup winner shows his class with a beauty of a first time shot off a corner clearance to put the Villa ahead of the Arsenal, and those home fans are making a racket!

If Villa win here they could essentially ensure their survival.

This is the first Covid Premier League match I've been actually half tempted to sit down and watch, rather than watch out of a sense of duty - I listened to the radio for the Chelsea - Man City game.

Looks like Leicester will need to win by a few at this stage. Losing by 3 or more is gonna cost them a chance on the alst day

Lesta will have a full weeks rest as Man U have to play midweek.
But looks like Lesta will need to win to get top 4.
It would be some cock up if they don’t get top 4 considering the gap.

Watford really need to pick up a point or 3 tonight.
With games against Man City and Arsenal they probably won’t pick up anymore.

Maybe both teams would be happy with a point as that would put them 4 ahead of AV and Bournemouth with only 2 games to go.

No it’s not, in the big leagues, qualifying for Champions League is better than winning a cup.
Sad outlook on football if you think that

+1

When you're pleased finishing 4th you're no longer a big club. Roy Keane once said that and in this modern era there's nothing more true.

It really does. Hadn't Liverpool dropped five points all season before the break? As in won every single game bar two? And yet now they can't reach 100 points with two games to spare.

You were telling us all Stones was a great defender.

Don’t think I ever used that exact term. He’s never been a great defender. Good on the ball at times
That was his best form at the club from August to Christmas of that season, think he got injured at Leicester and never got back to that form. He’s been way off that form ever since.

And without their best player for much of the season.

EDIT: Sorry forgot it was season before last.
