You play Mustafi and Luiz as a CB pairing and that is what you'll get. I've never seen a player consistently make as many mistakes as Mustafi does. Can't believe he hasn't been sold within the last 2 years, although the list of potential buyers is quite small I'd imagine.

And people thought he'd be a "bargain". Not if he's costing you points each week he's not. In saying that, although his challenge was clumsy, I put the blame solely on Mustafi for that penalty.

Luiz tends to amplify what is around him - i.e if he is a part of a well structured defence he will generally excel (see last season when he was one of the best CBs in the league) but if he is part of a shambles he will only make it more shambolic.
Putting him beside Mustafi was only ever going to end in tears.

I think you're being too kind to him with "shambles": |

Only for that terrible draw away to United, this would be a serious runner. Who would have thought it.

Everton and Spurs have managers that are an odd fit for their clubs. If anything Mourinho would be a better fit for Everton who are not a glamour team and would ahppily take boring defensive football for a top 4 or 5 spot and Ancelotti a is a better fit for Spurs than The Poison One.

Listening to a podcast from the other day with Dunphy, Brady and Giles on picking their EPL team of the season.
Jaysus it got heated, and i'm only at the right back point. Giles takes some huff that Brady belittles his choice of Wan Bisakka

Giles also has Maguire in his team
Between that and saying a few months ago that De Bruyne was a problem at City who they need to get rid of, it seems John is in the early stages of dementia |

I'm guessing he's just saying that to try and have consistency with his equally absurd comment from earlier in the season about City needing to ditch him. Dig up, stupid!
