He won't start against Denmark. That's pretty much guaranteed. Don't see why he wouldn't start against Gibraltar at home?

If he can line out against Sunderland in playoff today, I don't think that starting against one of the worst rank teams in the world is beyond the realms of possiblity.

Yeah, but the pun wouldn't have worked otherwise.

Obviously not a mainstream pun?

Bill Cullen and his presumably sh*te book, which some how manages to appear in every charity shop, second hand bookshop, rural church with an honesty box and telephone booth booth-exchange that I have visited in England.

I expect it to appear on my own bookshelf any day now.

No players mentioned but I would 100% say Jeff Hendrick is one.

He ran more in the last two games then he did the last two years for us

I think that Mick has allowed his midfielders to run (forward) has probably helped that.

No wonder the stats were so sh!te with so many players given how dug in we were most of the time.

Did he move in Gibraltar? Jeff was due a performance, it’s usually once every two years.

Hendrick is a good litmus test for the Irish team and where they're at.

- His goal against Gibraltar (would never have been in that area of the pitch under O'Neill)

- Great performance against Georgia

- Denmark...? Another above par performance here from Hendrick would be a really good sign for the Irish team as a whole.

He was atrocious in Gibraltar. Improved against Georgia. He is still miles off what we will need in Denmark.

Everyone was in fairness.

I'd be the first to Hendrick gone based on last 2 years, but there's an obvious improvement since Mick came in. Hope it continues.
