Standard.

I presume we've spent the entire second half with 11 men behind the ball.

Supposedly had an injury recently so not 100% maybe and the game against Ukraine was probably the main game they were looking for him to play him.

Finished 2-2 which is disappointing after being two nil up at half time. A win would have set us up nicely but taking points off the top seeds is also a plus since seven group runner ups go through. Ukraine up next which will likely decide whether we qualify again this year or not.

Sounds like we were unlucky. It doesn;t sound like we sat back either.

Conditions in Cyprus are always going to kill an Irish team.

It was 18 degrees and sunny, hardly Giant Stadium 1994.

Anyway, yeah, a bit of a let-down when leading by two but a draw at the outset would have been seen as an excellent result.
All in on Ukraine.
Win or bust.

Ah haha I had it in my head it would be roasting. It is March I suppose

Good result yeah. Need to win both games now.
So close to having 1 foot in the door though.
Would be ridiculously good if we could still top the group here

You'd think UEFA might set up a streaming service like LOI TV for games like this and under-19s also.

I'd happily pay 5-10 euro to watch these matches.

for qualifiers, UEFA leave it to the discretion of the host countries
Cyprus streamed their game against Ukraine earlier this week on YouTube. Their game against Italy later today, and final game against Ireland on Monday, will be online too

Even an a tactical view with no commentary would do.

Yeah I know its mostly down to the host country.

The FAI had good recordings of the goals, not sure if they were streamable quality but I'd of said they probably were.

Unreal, that should be us through now.

Is seeding for final tournament based on the number of points and goals you score in the qualifiers?

Yeah that's how it's sorted. Hosts will automatically be in Pot 1 for the draw so one group winner will end up in pot 2 with the seven best runners up from qualifiers.

Mason Melia is still only 15 so underage again next year for the 17s.
