No blame for Mick though eh (Georgia away in particular). Shock horror. We were only in the playoffs as a result of other teams nothing to do what we did on the pitch. You've been nothing but snidey towards SK from day one.

I hope so - I don’t know anybody on here but from what I’ve read recently on here, this murph fella is someone I would not want to be in the trenches with. I’m sure he’s hoping Kenny will fail to say he told us so

Difference is I gave trap a chance - Kenny hasn’t even had a proper chance and can’t be judged yet. You can tell from his posts he wants him to fail

Just looked at the odds for next Ireland manager, grim stuff.
Roy Keane fav, followed by Andrews, Duff and Robbie Keane. Then Stephen Bradley and Michael O'Neill. |

I think it wouldn't be a disaster if the GK coach was missing for a few days before a game. I'm terms of things they typically would be doing, you've covered most of it. A top class GK coach might also be showing our GK things like which opposition players shoot from distance, body shape when shooting. Also stuff on their corner routines, who typically takes them, inswingers / outswingers, do they hit near post or far post areas; also if an opposition CB or DM might block them. It's all information to help the GK anticipate things. I read somewhere that Achterberg (ex-Tranmere GK, now at Liverpool as GK coach) also works on Liverpool GKs short passing and improving ball control with either foot, and being more aggressive in terms of pitch position when not in possession. This makes sense if you deploy a short passing game. In some ways having a GK coach who could do this might help a Stephen Kenny team.
