The fact Preston have started Ripley in goal shows how seriously they are taking it, believe it or not! Fair play to Idah, he has done what he has to, but I would be cooling the jets somewhat.

Why did both teams put reserve teams out?

Norwich's objective is to stay in the EPL and Preston on the other hand are trying to get into the EPL.

Doubt there are many Irish players who've scored a hat trick?

Fair play to the lad. Should probably see more of him now.

Humiliated by the manager.  Should hand in a transfer request in the morning.

Fair play to him, still think there are questions over his touch and overall skillset but he played really well today.
We're decent enough..

Slow and the only reason he was good was because he was big for his age group. Think people were also concerned by his technical ability. Seems to be quieting the haters.

What haters?

Aye a few lads had him written off after 1 bad game. Must be our highest under age scorer this last few years.

He is now 1st in the all time goals scored record amongst current Irish strikers

Just been mentioned by the lads on BT. Mick said he may have possibly played himself into contention after getting a hatrick in a real competition. Not a reserve game or an u23 type game.

Who did he get the other hat-trick against?
