People asking for him to be banished permanently from the national side because he's hanging around with some childhood mates, scummers or not, is an absolute embarrassment. He also seems to have his head screwed on, certainly more so than Obafemi and Connolly. |

I'm not saying crime is ok, saying if it's happening in anyways then take advantage and build a few gyms or pitches from the proceeds so that the next generation doesn't have to do the same. Lads having a go at Parrott for staying down to earth with his mates is silly. I mean he could move to Dalkey and ignore them. He's keeping it real.

Exactly what I mean. Most footballers come from working class areas and many grow up with crime around them. Some absolute space cadets on here being judge and jury on someone they have never met in their life Shameful stuff.

Well said. Regardless of who's in the photos, he seems like a decent lad who's got a decent break in life and doing reasonably ok with his talent and keeping the head down.

I'd say he is, went to England, playing ball, on the books of Spurs, not afraid to go on loan, always willing to play for Ireland, no pink rims, looks after the family back in Dublin from what I hear. That's all you want, he can't choose his scummy mates. It comes across as petty lads here saying he shouldn't do this or that. Few lads in the Irish setup going back to the late 90s with far dodgier connections than TP.

The only ones policing here are youse all saying who he can and can't be mates with in his free time. Have a go at me by all means but leave the other poster BB out of it. In fairness it was criticism rather than viterol or abuse, and I was the first to admit AC proved me wrong the other week. But he was carrying on like Biggie Small before going to Hull, whereas Parrott already earned the right to have scumbag mates in my view. Used to drink with a lad that knew the family and salt of the earth by all accounts and he looks after them since he moved over.
