Managers like players pass their sell by date.
Troy will comfortably outlast Jose at Spurs, he is still a kid. I am sure he will get a loan move next season and we will get a sense of how good he is then. |

Who were 2 successful managers for Ireland. Both qualified for a major tournament in which many behind them failed.

We haven't qualified for a world cup for 20 years, strong argument that the euros being expanded to include more teams (you know, for money) have been made a lot easier to qualify. When we have qualified, we haven't exactly showered ourselves in glory.

Think we did reasonably well in the last Euros.

Really though? A draw with a very average Sweden, ( our best result) Smashed by Belgium Beating an Italian team that had already qualified (they didnt seem that upset at the end) Good start against france but ultimately didnt really have quality (I will say be played ok though) |

I know we have green glasses on so our calls for Troy are obviously a bit louder but even in England its the same.
I'm starting to think Jose wont even see next season the way he is going on, I am not sure he cares too much either And I dont mean just about Troy but just the usual wanting more players a d playing the blame game

Spurs made a massive mistake in recruiting this dinosaur. Football has moved on. Would be better to get rid now. He can’t develop players and Spurs won’t spend on serious talent. Parrott needs to move if JM is still there next season.

O'Neill finished 3rd in the qualifying group which wouldnt have been good enough for any of those behind him

I don't think Troy could have done anything against RB anyway the other night, so I wouldn't worry about him not getting any time. In fact I can't see him doing f*ck all the way the current squad is playing, and with the special one in charge. When you see Billy Gilmour and Harry Wilson and Greenwood doing so well all Troy's age, wouldn't it be nice if we had even one player playing at this level and impressing?
If Poch or Mou didn't want to play Troy, maybe he's not the 2nd coming after all? Thoughts?

It was a mercy that he didn't throw Troy into that horror show last night. With neither service nor support, he'd never have got a touch and Leipzig's defence would have eaten him alive.
Poch had Kane and Son available, so there's no significance in his not playing a 17 y.o. kid. As for Mourinho, who knows what his motives are for treating him like this, but either way, you risk doing more harm than good throwing a novice into such a struggling team. The lad's got plenty of time on his side, if he can be patient, so should we.

Millwall in talks with Spurs to sign him on a season long loan according to Sky Sports. Would be a good move IMO.

Bit of pressure on him to deliver now. Suppose if he could score 5-10 goals if he gets decent gametime would be pretty good. If he could get a few early goals he could be on his way.

The Poison One won't let him go and will keep him in prison at WHL. Won;t play him or loan him and then moan he has no strikers.
