Ah disappointed for Parrott but no point in reading too much into it. Just hope Jose doesn't use this as another reason for him not being ready.

Poor penalty but Krul was off his line too.
He seemed out of sync and nearly got in the way of Lamela when he was playing someone in. He just needs to play more games at senior level whether it's at Spurs or on loan next season. |

Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

In fairness to Jose, I think he might be right but I should probably be posting this on the unpopular opinion thread.

Apart from the pen,I thought he looked a bit lost out there. Over trying and not getting into good positions off the ball

Troy getting his own back on the septic one you can take the boy out of the inner city but you can’t take the inner city out of the boy

I thought he showed a couple of good touches. Norwich were playing for the draw the whole time he was on so it was always going to be lean pickings. I don't mind Jose not playing him but just let him play out the season in the U23s then and lets see what happens in the Summer.

It was a confident penalty. Is he ahead of Parrott from an international perspective as things stand?

Some great sh*thousing from Krul throughout that shootout though. Top notch stuff.

It beggars belief the obsession Irish journalists have with Parrott considering the vast array of Irish young players who are actually proving themselves by playing games this season

This opinion would change on a game by game basis. Neither player has proved anything but both have massive potential, which is nice

He 18 missed a penalty, showed some nice touches in the 20 minutes he was on the pitch but some people are over reacting. The biggest problem now is that Mourinho we use this as an excuse and not play him any more for rest of the season.

Some amount of reactionary nonsense on this thread. Chinese whispers that he has an attitude problem which will probably be repeated for the rest of his career now (as so often seems to happen to our players). Then he misses a penalty which is confirmatory evidence for some that he's not ready for senior football. Talk about a fickle bunch, it doesn't take much to sway your opinions
