Most club managers seem perplexed when their players don't get called into the Ireland squad, even if they're playing at League One level. Warburton acknowledges our strength in that area but still feels Dunne is worth a call-up.

definitely an area of strength for us but with omobamidele only coming back from injury, same with o'shea, collins rarely playing for burnley, and other previous options within the last year like clark and k long out of the picture, probably best time for his inclusion you could argue

Havent seen much of either but it sounds like Darragh Lenihan has been the form player out of the pair at Championship level? What is helpful for Dunne, however, is that he's almost 4 years younger than Lenihan.

Lenihan has been playing regular football for 5 years more than Dunne too. He's definitely the most likely out of the two to receive a call-up.

Yeah odds are if a new player is gonna see game time it will be either at RCB or LCB with Egan pushing centrally it Duffy is unavailable. Lenihan plays RCB and has been in squads before.
Do wonder if Kenny might select a bigger squad than usual and have some players in just to train since both games are at home. Similar in the summer with two of our first three games being at home and the U21s also having two home games June 3rd and 6th. Some lads that don't travel to Armenia could remain back in camp. |

As bad as Hendrick was there, Jimmy Dunne played very well.
Was up against a tank in Adebayo and really seemed to cherish the physical battle, which he often got the better of.

No chance. Hasn't played since the season ended over a month ago and presumably hasn't trained much either aside from whatever bits players tend to do on their holidays. It'll be Collins, Lenihan and O'Shea. I'd say Manning is even ahead of Dunne.

Now being credited with QPR's second. Middlesbrough getting hammered.

Hopefully this pays dividends in the form of saving a life. Fair play to Dunne and all at QPR. Great to see a footballer using their career for such good.

Opportunity for Conor Masterson, maybe?

More likely to cement Clarke-Salter's place in the team. Masterson not up to that level unfortunately.

Good stuff, thought I had read there were fears that he had broken his leg. Unlikely to get a look in through the next campaign barring injuries, but he's got 4 or 5 years on the likes of Duffy, Lenihan, Egan, so his chance will likely come in time
