I think modern players have a cut off point where they stop listening. Some coaches can extend that somewhat but the likes of Mourinho, Rodgers and Martinez (a bit unfair putting mourinho in the same category as them) won’t get results with the same rhetoric after a while.

Spoofer or not, I'm delighted Martinez got that kick in the bollocks against the truly unlikable Swiss* who were always cxxts to beat.

*Their likability has gone up a tad since they despatched a British statelet in the world cup playoffs and the Belgians yesterday. Clap
