Yes, but still with Portsmouth unpaid getting treatment to recover from an ACL injury. Can't see him making any sort of comeback even at the level of L1.

I'd say there's zero chance he won't make the comeback at League One. He's at his peak and has been a very good player at that level for some time. It's incredibly rare that high level athlete's don't return to their previous level after an ACL injury these days.
Yeah can't see it. He said he turned down a reduced contract at Portsmouth which is surprising that one, he turned it down and two, they even offered him a reduced contract.

So Portsmouth (2nd best team in L1 currently) offered him a contract before he's even recovered, but you're saying you "can't see him making any sort of comeback, even at L1 level"? How does that work?

They offered him an extremely reduced contract which he refused as he said he wouldn't be able support his family on that contract but at the same time, decided to stay on and work on his fitness with no pay which I don't get. I don't think Portsmouth want to keep him on and I can't see him making a full recovery and playing regularly. Just an opinion and if I'm wrong, il be glad for him.

He was still offered a contract by one of the best sides in L1 with months left in his recovery? Like what's the basis for saying he "won't make a full recovery"? He would need to have a catastrophic loss of mobility to no longer be a L1 standard player - that is not something that occurs with ACL injuries unless in exceptional circumstances, and I've seen no indication that Curtis' injury is anything beyond ordinary. People still seem to carry pretty antiquated views on the seriousness of ACL injuries - the recovery period is long but the actual success rate is extremely high. It's not something that will retire a young athlete who wants to get back.
We're decent enough..

Isn't he from around Wimbledon originally? Family only moved back to Ireland when he was in his teens I think

The head physio at Wimbledon Bobby Bacic only joined them this summer from Portsmouth. Probably why Curtis is training with Wimbledon.

I wouldn't be so sure. Where's the link to Blackpool, there was rumored interest back in January when Mick was there but haven't seen anything since?
