Still wouldn’t rule out united
They could feasibly beat Chelsea on Sunday and win their remaining two after that
With Arsenal’s away form they’re guaranteed nothing

No chance that Man Utd will beat Chelsea. As flakey as Chelsea can be they’re a far better team than Utd. Utd should be happy they can’t be caught for 5th.
I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.

Was thinking today how poor Arsenal have been this season. Even when they were sh*te under Wenger you could rely on them tearing the majority of midtable or lower half teams apart more often then not with an impressive display. They don’t do that anymore. I know it was a big job for Emery but they are very average

Ye they've been the same way for most of the season. Grinding out wins a lot of the time against the lower teams. It's a really weak squad full of average players. I'd rather stay in the EL next season and be in with a chance of winning it, than get in to the CL and that squad of players scrape through the group stages and get hammered 10-0 by Bayern or Barca in the last 16.

My thoughts exactly - I was at the Leicester game at the end of January when Liverpool dropped points and that was quite a frustrating night when Liverpool were too ponderous on the ball.

Deadly to think that in most other seasons, Liverpool would have had the title as good as wrapped up by now. But this season, they've been up against an unbelievable City squad who, as you say, are unlikely to f**k up their last 3 games.

Regardless of who wins the title neither team has "choked". They've both had unbelievable seasons and both deserve to be where they are & are miles ahead of the rest. Liverpool had a bad patch early in the year but still picked up a few points that have actually kept them in the race now. City lost stupid games you wouldn't expect them to lose so who's to say that wont happen again over the next 3 games? Slim chance I know but who would've thought City would struggle v QPR a few years back

Anyway, this "choking" craic is horsesh*t. Be it City or Liverpool who wins it they're both cracking sides & will just have being beaten to it by a better team

I still can't believe City lost that game away to Newcastle in January. One of the strangest games I've ever watched.

How in the name of Jaysus is POGBA on this, WTF?

Manchester City and Liverpool's thrilling battle for Premier League supremacy has unsurprisingly led to the teams dominating the Professional Footballers' Association top-flight Team of the Year 2019.

England forward Raheem Sterling is among six City representatives while Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson are two of four inclusions from Liverpool.

However, Mohamed Salah is not among that number while Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard is also a surprise omission, despite being on the six-man shortlist for the Players' Player of the Year award.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is the only member of the XI, which was voted for by their fellow players, not to feature for the top-two clubs battling for the title.

City's enviable attacking options have been at the heart of their title defence and Sergio Aguero has once again led the line with aplomb.

The Argentinian, currently the joint top-scorer in the league alongside Salah and Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on 19 goals this season, is the only player to retain his position in the PFA side from 12 months ago.

Aguero has edged out - among others - Harry Kane, who is absent from the list for the first time in five seasons.

Raheem Sterling makes his first appearance in the PFA XI to supplement Aguero in attack, having found the net 17 times and provided 10 assists, while Liverpool's Sadio Mane - with 18 goals so far this term - completes the forward line.

The front trio are all in contention for the Players' Player award - as is Bernardo Silva, who has earned rave reviews for his performances in City's midfield.

The Portuguese and tenacious City team-mate Fernandinho take their spots in the centre of the park, as does Pogba, despite some lacklustre displays in United's recent dip in form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Aymeric Laporte, who signed for City in January 2018 for a then club record fee of £57million, breaks up the Liverpool hegemony in the back four.

Virgil Van Dijk, who joined Liverpool in a record £75m transfer in the same month Laporte completed his move to City, has been a reassuring and instrumental presence in the Reds' back line.

The Dutchman will be a strong contender to win the Players' Player award and he partners Laporte at centre-back, with Alexander-Arnold and Robertson occupying the full-back berths.

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has conceded two fewer goals and kept two more clean sheets than City counterpart and Brazilian compatriot Ederson.

But it is Ederson who takes the number one jersey with the PFA, which will honour the players at its annual awards ceremony in London on Sunday, April 28.

PFA Premier League Team of the Year 2019: Ederson (Manchester City), Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Virgil Van Dijk (Liverpool), Aymeric Laporte (Manchester City), Andy Robertson (Liverpool), Paul Pogba (Manchester United), Bernardo Silva (Manchester City), Fernandinho (Manchester City), Sergio Aguero (Manchester City), Raheem Sterling (Manchester City), Sadio Mane (Liverpool).

Pogba was great for a couple of months in the middle of the season - was poor both before and after that though. Pretty strange that he's somehow managed to get into that team of the season.

Very debatable. A match that will be decided by whichever of the 2 show ponies show up.
United will go 3 for 3, get their 9 points and hope for the best in the fallout with Arsenal, Chelsea and the Europa League jetlag

Shaw is the only United player that would get into that Chelsea team on current form. Possibly Lindelof and Rashford

Lot of dross in that Chelsea team too. Loftus Cheek, Jorginho, Luiz, Higuain, Emerson....

With Utd, Leicester and Watford to come have to wonder what is their best bet?

3 wins in the league or a 2 legger v Frankfurt (which wont be straight forward) to set up a one off game V Arsenal/Valencia

3 sh*t teams fighting it out for 4th.

Pogba has had a direct hand in 22 league goals this season (13 goals, 9 assists) His goals and assists have earned United an additional 22 points.

Only Hazard's goal and assists (29) have won his side more points (23).

Don't get the uproar behind Pogba's inclusion, seen a journalist from the Daily Mail who had Henderson in his team of the year LOL.

How many of Pogba's goals were penalties?

7 of those 13 goals were penalties though - basically 8 if you include the one he missed but scored from the follow up.

He's been decent at times but neither he, nor Henderson, should be near a team of the season.

F*cking hell

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

A guy that Man United have to get rid of. Absolutely poisonous this season for them. Now, the majority of United fans are in agreement that he is a toxic presence at the club. You are sticking to your guns, and think he's worthy of a team of the best 11 in the PL LOL oh the absolute delusion

Is this picked from the actual players choices for all positions?

The alternative choices on here were Wijnaldum, Sissoko, Doucare and Moutinho LOL

9 assists from midfield, terrible player. Can't see why Real Madrid would want to sign him over the players mentioned above.  LOLLOLLOLLOLLOLLOLLOLLOLLOLLOLLOLLOL

Imagine how many assists he would have had he tried in the first half of the season instead of getting the manager sacked, and if he could actually do something of note against one of the big teams.
