The record for every position is likely to be broken in this transfer window.
The transfer fees have just gone crazy. |

Unless Neymer is on the move then it won't happen.

Everton linked with Richarlison for £50m
Seems a very big fee, yeah he’s young and showed a bit of promise early on last season, but only got something like 4 or 5 goals

Hasn't scored or made an assist in his last 23 games. Baffling money.

I'd say Watford can't believe their luck a bid of that size coming in for Richarlison

Lets remember this is the club that could have let Marco Silva go with a sizeable compensation package, but ended up sacking him not long after. I hope they've learned their lesson

Because he is Brazilian he must be a great footballer!
If he was from Latvia with the same statistics he would be less than half the price.

You would hope so for their sake anyway. Having reportedly signed him for 11m last summer, almost 40m is a serious profit for them to make over 1 season, on a player who scored a few at the start of the season and did very little else for the rest of it

Supposedly they're paying over the odds to make the complaint about tapping up the manager go away

West Ham got Anderson from Lazio for £40 Million, and he has been capped by Brazil. Which puts the deal into perspective.
He's a good play, but is he worth £50 million?

The big 6 have been relatively quiet (besides Liverpool)
Arsenal have added numbers rather than top quality. Man U and Chelsea have added one Midfielder. Man City have added Mahrez and Spurs have signed nobody. If Chelsea lose Hazard they’ll need to sign some serious quality players to replace him.

There'll likely be plenty of comings and goings at Chelsea in the next couple of weeks now that Sarri is officially in charge. It does look like Hazard will be off to Madrid. Chelsea are being strongly linked with Golovin who would play in similar positions, but as good as Golovin is, you'd think they'll be looking for another bigger name attacking signing if Hazard were to leave. Just saw there that Martial is supposedly a target

Didn’t realise the transfer window closes Aug 9th for EPL clubs.
They can’t buy anybody after this date but can sell up to 31st Aug.

There are a number of clubs who have done little or no business. In the post WC environment, I suspect the Club's that haven't got their business done, or almost done, will have to deal with inflationary prices.

Wolves have reportedly agreed a 5m fee with Monaco for Joao Moutinho
Looks a nice bit of business. He's 31 now but has always been a very classy player. Thought he played well at the World Cup
