Can one of the mods make this a sticky please?
Cuts out pointless bumping of threads and reading about transfer stories we all may or may not already know about.

In all honesty, who want's to know if Palace have been fined £10,000 for the grass not being green or that Bournemouth might be lodging a bid in for a player from Latvia.
We all have access to google, the papers, sky sports etc.
All the talk about Fekir moving to Liverpool is something that genuinely interests people, I just don't understand people who just post for the sake of posting.......

One of the oddest transfers you'd likely to see.
Not sure why one of the younger lads at Utd can't be given number 3 jersey

I really hope we get to see Golovin in the Premiership, supposedly Chelsea are making a bid.
Realistically, Mostovoi was one of the last real Russian success stories to have a genuine impact in a top European league.

Lot of talk that Juve have bid 100m for Ronaldo

The story is gathering more and more pace as the days progress.
Even at 33 it would still be one of the best pieces of business in the modern era.
Batistuta went to Roma at 31 for €33million euros back in the year 2000 (add inflation) so does €100million seem all that crazy for Ronaldo?
I don't think so.

Supposedly Agnelli has gotten Ferrari money to help finance the move. I'm really hoping it does go through, a front 3 of Ronaldo, Dybala and Douglas Costa sounds amazing
|
Posted By: Green Devil

Wouldn't you think Agnelli would just finance the deal out of his own pocket, he's only worth €13 billion
I'd love to see Ronaldo link up with Dybala and Costa, it would be sensational.
Plus, we might get to see more of Asensio at Real and see how he develops if Cristiano isn't there!

Why spend your own money when you can spend someone else’s?
It’s one of those transfers that could set off a whole lot more. Obviously Juve are likely to sell, probably Higuain, Real will look to bring in someone in Ronaldo’s place at significant cost, and what do that club do with that money (assuming a certain Parisian club is allowed to actually spend it)

Ronaldo has still a good number of years left. His general all round play has declined, but he's still a massive goalscorer and will be for some time yet. He's talking about wanting to play till the 2022 WC when he's 37 and given Portugal's limited options upfront you wouldn't put it past him. Also wants to pass Ali Daei's all time international goalscoring record.

Saw a lot of him last season (a big fan of BT's Serie A coverage), he looks a very good player!
40m is a massive outlay for a club like West Ham mind, still it's probably a risk worth taking because he will have his pick of Serie A clubs if it doesn't work out.

More pace gathering around Milinkovic Savic coming to the Premier League, Lazio are getting asset stripped big time but it would represent some business for them if a Premiership club pays anywhere near what they're looking for.

Liverpool are dead right though, as it’s been pointed out on numerous occasions Liverpool are basically pissing up against the wind without a very good keeper.
Alisson will no doubt win them points throughout the season and will inspire confidence, unlike Karius!
Klopp has no excuses now about money being spent, time to deliver trophies now!

Buffon was the most expensive in euro terms, at €51m at the time, albeit that was only £33m then. When Ederson went, he was "only" the equivalent of €40m, even if it was a greater sterling amount.
It depends which currency you use as the base.

You would hope so for their sake anyway. Having reportedly signed him for 11m last summer, almost 40m is a serious profit for them to make over 1 season, on a player who scored a few at the start of the season and did very little else for the rest of it

The big 6 have been relatively quiet (besides Liverpool)
Arsenal have added numbers rather than top quality. Man U and Chelsea have added one Midfielder. Man City have added Mahrez and Spurs have signed nobody.
If Chelsea lose Hazard they’ll need to sign some serious quality players to replace him.

There'll likely be plenty of comings and goings at Chelsea in the next couple of weeks now that Sarri is officially in charge.
It does look like Hazard will be off to Madrid.
Chelsea are being strongly linked with Golovin who would play in similar positions, but as good as Golovin is, you'd think they'll be looking for another bigger name attacking signing if Hazard were to leave.
Just saw there that Martial is supposedly a target

There are a number of clubs who have done little or no business. In the post WC environment, I suspect the Club's that haven't got their business done, or almost done, will have to deal with inflationary prices.

Jorge Mendes is one the investors at the club, albeit not listed as one as they're exploiting a loophole in the rules.
That's the 7th player Wolves have signed who Jorge Mendes represents since the takeover 2 years ago.

I had a long reply done out rebutting everything but that would be hugely hypocritical of me given how many threads I've cleaned up for people getting into spats over nonsense, which this is.
Regardless, as you know, it doesn't matter what the facts are, it matters what people believe, not the first post like that that has rubbed people up the wrong way and come across as yourself trying to come across as superior to others. Whether intended or not, that's how it looks.

Agreed, albeit nonsense you started due to your failure to comprehend and eagerness to jump on the high horse. Personally, I am not overly concerned about how I come across to a bunch of strangers on an internet forum and I am confused as to why a complete stranger would care about how I do, but whatever floats your boat, as they say.
I also believe that spelling and punctuation to be important, not to demean anybody else but to improve comprehension. I appreciate when others correct mine too, we all make mistakes. The reason is to keep standards at such a level that all posts are clear and understandable and avoid things being lost in translation between gibberish and English.

Inter supposedly making a bid for Luka Modric. Would expect Real to start bringing in some big money younger players if they sell him as well.

It seems the Neymar deal last year has had a weird affect that clubs can hold onto their players more easily, a few seasons ago if Real wandted Hazard or Kane, they'd get them, now the clubs just say he's 200m + crazy wages and they keep them.

FFS that’s a joke.... The EPL has just gone mad. No way is he worth that and why not go for somebody abroad who would be better for the same price.

Are normally good at getting money in for players they want to sell. £25m for Sakho & £28 for Benteke from Palace, £15 for Jordan Ibe a few years back too. Look like they'll get decent money for Origi too

Only a few days to go. You’d think things will get crazy now with panic buys before the window shuts.
I’m surprised Chelsea, City and Man U have been so quiet. They have unlimbers budgets and compared to previous seasons have spent very little.

Joe Hart to complete his £3.5m move to Burnley today. Odd one that, I thought Burnley had two good keepers already in Pope and Heaton. Rumours that Chelsea are going to pay Jan Oblak's release clause of 89m when Courtouis leaves.

Pope injured himself at Aberdeen and Heaton is out injured too, I'm guessing he is joining as cover until they are fit. I doubt Burnley's third-choice keeper will get many shampoo advertisements. Wowsers.
