Maybe Columbia aren't actually that good? Poor yesterday, beat a dreadful Poland side and got beaten by the Japs in the first game

On the plus side, this is the first World Cup in living memory when there hasn't been an African country threatening to strike/boycott over money and bonuses.

Was it the last World Cup that some African dude was kissing a pile of money?

It's not a proper World Cup without African voodeo priests and England fans smashing the place up.

Yup. Ghana in 2014

Maybe that's where they went wrong!

Some were seriously unlucky though.

Strong South American contingent at this world cup,4 out of 5 made the knockout stage and Peru were unlucky not to get there. Brazil are the favourites and the other 3 are all still dark horses in their own way, even Argentina.

Colombia really didn't turn up today. Have a feeling they'll come good again though in the second round. Wonder will James Rodriguez be fit for it

For Colombia to play like that and to still emerge with a win. That's a good sign.

Winner of Belgium v England to play Japan, so that should make tonight an interesting prizefight!

Looking likely. Unreal heartbreak for Senegal if they don't score and go out like this. Unless 2 Japanese players het themselves booked now! But they're too polite for that I'd say.

Yep of all the teams you would want to have players booked Japan are the one's you wouldn't want to be relying on LOL

They're hardly going to be chopping into the Polish lads no!
