Spain/Portugal is one I might stay away from and just enjoy, not sure what the new manager means for Spain, and a draw might well suit both teams here so if it's level at 60mns I can't see either team pushing on for the win.

I tend to be very calculated in my betting especially around big events/tournaments World Cup, Euro's, Cheltenham etc.

Prime example being I wouldn't be drawn into backing 4 or 5 team accums or even betting on single matches like Iran vs Morocco unless I had a few euro in change or a free bet.

I would rather have a nice sized bet on teams I know a good bit about.

Correct way to do business. France -1 is the first one getting decent wedge off me. Its a long month and theres going to be lads chasing their losses by the middle of next week and could end up losing their bollox... 

Loads of promos, loads of pr, loads of hype doesnt make backing the Iranian striker a good outside punt to score first if you know nothing about the lad. Or the opposition

I think a lot of punters make the mistake of trying to land the big payday i.e your €10/€20 on something that might be 9/1 or higher instead of perhaps looking to actually make a profit on their investment which has a far greater chance of coming off even if it's only doubling it.

Each to their own though.

Tends to work well for me, especially for internationals. Ended up 700+ profit last wc. Last year I was up 1700ish on pp but yeah house always wins. It IL be My last bet purely due to losing 2 at the death, knowing when to fold them as they say. Hoping for a decent cash out come the English game.

Well I  got drunk in slatterys before the Serbia game and backed them to win 1-0 instead of Ireland that accounted for 1300 of it, didn't even know it had happened for 2 weeks, the other 400ish was an Italy Ireland 1-0 in Cardiff. Had being due that would have broke even
