Watching Atlético v Espanyol. Clear elbow in the penalty box. Ref looks at it for at least a minute. Must be 10 replays looked at. Doesn’t give the penalty. Simeone just laughs at the decision.
Not just the EPL with the bizarre decisions.

was definitely a penalty. I would have given the 2nd goal but that could also have been ruled out.

MOTD pointed out a couple of weeks back that after 90 EPL games, not one penalty shout that had been denied by the ref was subsequently overturned by VAR and awarded. Dunno if that has changed in the 20-odd games since. Either way though, you're right - the while thing is a massive fck-up.

No idea what a penalty is for a handball these days, and neither do the refs by the look of things
Typical city at anfield, concede with their first two shots Bravo coulda done better for both Be doing well to keep it below 4

His arm was extended out and the ball to arm distance was significant. That’s a penalty but no consistency with VAR. The 2nd goal may have been marginal offside but I would give the benefit to the attacker. |

Yeah thought it was a penalty too
Aguero should have played to the whistle though, defended from the front and won the ball back, instead of chasing after the ref appealing Second was well inside there on the replay they showed there

1. Arsenal v Palace 2. Brighton v Everton 3. Watford v Chelsea All correct calls. Regarding Liverpool v City, there are 2 handballs within 2 seconds. What do you give? A free kick, a penalty, or play on? You can't give them all. The ref saw the incident, and instantly said no. You play on.

Silva didnt even know the ball hit him so there was no intent. Arnold looks like he stuck his arm out and stopped the ball. The way VAR have been giving penos not sure how that was given.
