A proper, official, regulation Winmau dartboard always gives a pleasing thud when a dart enters it.

Accept no substitute.

Another cracking episode of Gazzetta Freccette Bretagna on BT Sport just now with James Richardson.

He had a very tasty looking continental breakfast and tall macchiato on the table beside him as he perused the morning's darts headlines.

The Corriere Dello Sport have a really interesting looking profile of Scotty Dog Mitchell today. Required reading for real darts fans.

Sorry Sid, you can't have a tall macchiato. It may have been a latte macchiato, which is different. I apologise for my pedantry.

See, that's where you're wrong.

At Lakeside you can.

Things have obviously gone upmarket at the lakeside - the last time I was there, getting a coffee involved one of the old dears have a rummage under the counter for a jar of Maxwell House.

You only get the best at Lakeside.

The best coffee, the best food, the best drink, the best lake, the best fans, the best fun, the best of order, and most importantly, the best darts.

It is a far superior atmosphere to the embarrassment at the Alexandra Palace.

What a f**king darts match between Andy Baetens and Scotty Mitchell.

The legendary Dog is OUT despite averaging over 98!

Am I right in saying that an Irish young fella came runner up?
