For how well he stepped in, his two mistakes in the first leg were the ultimate difference unfortunately

1 mistake only, 3rd goal was a decent save of a deflected shot from 6 yards away, not his fault in any way. Even without the deflection it would have been hard to blame him

It's not a howler, but you have to push those ones wider of the goal.

It would have been a been a howler without the deflection.

He saved a 1 vs 1 shot from 6 yards out, it's a virtual impossibility that it could be anything close to a howler. It was a good save, but as seems to be typical for our goalkeepers some are desperate to try and paint it as some sort of fault.
We're decent enough..

When you parry a saveable shot straight to the goalscorer, it's generally quite reasonable to see that as a fault. And it's not like stuff like this - failing to hold on to the ball and parrying it into the danger zones - hasn't been flagged more than once with Kelleher before. We all know Alisson would be getting crucified if he conceded a goal like that.

Sorry, bud. I'm not buying what you're selling.

If there wasn't a deflection and it's hit straight at you, it's a howler to push the ball back into the danger area.

Not a howler because of the slight deflection.

You'd fancy that if Kelleher had conceded Liverpool's first tonight there'd be plenty lining up to say "Allisson would have saved that".

The noise is he's pushing for a move this summer with Wolves and Nottingham Forest linked. Apparently Liverpool want James Trafford as a replacement.

Wolves would be a good move for him. Even if Forest stay up they'll still be there or thereabouts around the relegation zone. Wolves would be much more stable IMO

Forest signed a first choice GK in January (Belgiums GK to boot) and will likely go down next year if not this year. Even by Irish players standards he’d want to be atrociously advised to consider it.

Wolves also have Sa is he gonna leave? Be surprised if it was either club.

There has been some rumours about Sa leaving (possibly to Saudi I think i saw) sure how reliable though. Not sure about that as a replacement Sa is at times a bombscare with the ball at his feet but a great shotshopper netter than Kelleher imo.

I can't see it being Wolves though we aren't going to spend a fortune on a GK. We don't overspend on players now and Liverpool won't sell him for cheap.

I think the stars are aligning for him this summer to move. Klopp leaving is a big thing. Whoever comes in is undoubtedly going to stick with Alisson, Kelleher is unlikely be given the opportunity to challenge for the number 1 spot. There'd be no gaurentee that he'd even get cup games and Liverpool will be back in the ECL next year, and they won't be rotating Alisson for that.

On the Ireland front he has the opportunity to bed down his position as first choice for years to come with Baz out. However with Travers now back in vogue at Bournemouth, he still could lose put on that if he's back on the bench at club level this year.

He's built up exposure by playing nearly 30 first team games this season. Now is thr time to capitalise
