Great move for Jay and for Ireland. Better getting regular football in the Championship than hoping to get a place on a Premier League bench. Look at Jason Knight at Derby, he's flying it.

Yeah hopefully he can improve on his spell last year with Millwall where he played fairly regularly. Was just a pity that he wasn’t allowed out at the start of the season

Preston is a good move for Molly, I think he'll do well there.
I think he's got real Premier League potential but feel he may be surplus to requirements at Brighton.

We'll obviously have to see how many games he ends up playing but I think it's good that he's gone to another club rather than settling for somewhere familiar, which would have been the easy option.
Hopefully it turns out to be a good move for him, and us.

PNE have 23 league games left this season, as well as the FA cup game plus potentially more FA cup games if the club gets through the rounds. So hopefully Molumby gets 20 plus games by the end of the season.

Great to see and Preston is a good club for him. Will be a good move for them too.
Hopefully he stays fit and healthy now (way things are going for Irish players you can’t take that for granted at this stage) 😂

Would he be potentially taking Browne's spot in the team if he gets the nod?

Only if Browne is sold or dropped because he won't sign a new contract. Browne is a free agent this summer.
It does reduce the chances of Adam O'Reilly breaking through though. His career seems to have stalled there after making the first team bench at 16. Edited by You Tell Me - 06 Jan 2021 at 12:16pm |

He would be competing with Browne Gallagher and Johnson I think usually is their midfield if I’m right?
Gallagher could be 35 at this stage I’m sure he’s more likely to be taking his spot than Brownes. If nothing else he will get games off the bench initially for them a lot better than his scenario at Brighton.

He's on loan at Stalybridge Celtic, no less. Interesting to see where Browne ends up next season. |

There’s a few teams taking a look at Browne and Johnson, apparently. He could be replacing one of them or being lined up just in case

He’s back from loan now I think he was on the bench the last game for Preston. Hopefully he’ll start getting minutes too.

Browne has been linked with Crystal Palace and Southampton, Johnson with Rangers and another midfielder Ben Pearson with Celtic. Molumby may be seen as a potential solution if one or more of these potential moves happen though Brighton did not give him that recent three and a half year contract for nothing and may not be keen on letting him go on anything other than a loan basis.
