why would he leave Southampton? He’s getting playing time and still young. Don’t see why he’d go for a minor step down to a team likely facing relegation a little more than the Saints will

Nor do I. He's just 20 and has done serious stuff in the Premiership and been capped at senior level for Ireland. A success for Southampton's much vaunted youth set-up and one to hold on to unless there has been some off the field problem we don't know about....?

Hasenhuttl has made comments about his professionalism and conduct off the pitch more than once but it seems to be a tough love thing and he's genuinely invested in him, so I wouldn't worry.

Meh - not a big deal. Kenny seems to be good at managing personalities. Also, he spoke weeks ago about having Obafemi with the U21s. Maybe he was just surprised that Parrott and Idah were ahead of him.
