O'Neill out now. Absoloute clown. He should of asked that kid the question last week and not picked him . Piss take at this stage, maybe he has some form of early dementia only way to account for his weird sh*t latley .

I find this incredible. How can O'Neill call the lad up when he's undecided as to which country he wants to play for? How are we supposed to react if Obafemi starts or comes on as a sub tomorrow? It may sound a bit corny but I believe in the integrity of the shirt, the idea that playing for your country means something, and in instances where a player has other options, he has enough respect for the countries involved to make a decision without effectively putting the countries on trial to see which one they prefer. This is just another f**king shambles by O'Neill. It's like he's doing it on purpose at this stage.

This reminds me of football manager when you would try call up the likes of Noble or Bamford. Even then I'm sure the message was private.

I don't blame the lad. I blame O Neill for calling him up and only then suggesting that he would speak to the parents that he thinks make these lads minds up for them.
Is he now going to play him tomorrow night with the chance that he will have some of the crowd giving him abuse? Super man management O Neill!!! The guy is clueless in what it takes to run a modern top level side. Time to go.

Crazy that he's calling up people like Obafemi who aren't fully committed, but not calling up Crowley who wants to play for Eire

O'Neill is directly at fault for Obafemi, Rice and Kelly choosing to omit themselves from the squad.
The above three have accepted senior call ups before binning us. Grealish also happened under his watch but I think his heart was genuinely set on England. Obafemi should not be played tomorrow under any circumstances. As an aside, Wales and Northern Ireland are not real countries yet they've both convinced talented dual-eligibles to play for them recently. Would Lewis or Peacock Farrell have stuck with us? I know ambitious lads like Brooks and Amapdu wouldn't wan't to play for O'Neill.

Far too much of a soft stance with these lads. We cannot continue to allow this to happen. Martin O'Neill is making a laugh out of us and Obafemi shouldn't be called up again IMO

It's an absolute joke. International football should not be a choice!! You're either Irish and want to represent your country or not. End of!!

This isn't Obafemi's fault, he should never of been called up until O'Neill held a private conversation with him. The absolute embarrassment of this.
