A serious kick up the hole for players like Bellerin, Iwobi, etc.

Over 20 LOL he really is one mad, brilliant b*stard LOL Imagine the pre season he'd put in with with squad Wenger left behind. They would drop like flies I reckon.

May have heard this incorrectly but I'm sure they mentioned in BT's coverage last night that he has missed over 20 games in his time as AM manager as a result of touchline bans. I think that reason alone is enough to hinder him getting the Arsenal job. Far too volatile for the Arsenal board to handle, and I think that he would be turned off by the new management structure, which seems to have turned Allegri off the job. That's even assuming he would be interested in the first place.

it would be one of the best things to ever happen Arsenal. Only problem being it would be almost impossible for Simeone  to be successful in his first season. There would have to be a serious turnover in that squad for him to get the team he wants. Outside of the fact that Simeone might never be interested in that gig (language barrier, mo ving country etc.) it's a big reason why Arsenal will probably go for someone who will be happy to work with the squad mainly as it is. Pity, as if there was any chance, I'd love to see him there. I've no doubt he'd turn them into a serious team if given the time.

Arsenal should do everything to get Simeone.
His AM teams are so hard to beat. They are everything that arsenal are not.

Possibly a good time for him to go on a high.
Griesman is off to Barca in a few weeks if reports are true.

I was embarrassed to be a football supporter watching that attempt

Very much agree with the sentiment that you don't have to hammer a team to be significantly better than them. Atletico are consistently far better than sides but win by low margins. Nice to see them get 3 tonight though. A top quality side.

It will most likely peter out now and, in doing so, will back up everything Moleman has said throughout this tournament. You don't have to hammer a team to be significantly better.

I can see reds here for Marseille. This could be a nightmare for them yet.

I'd have Ocampos flat out taking on the RB. When Marseille play ball they will create chances. Granted I'd rather a Costa/Greizmann at the end of it but in Thauvin, Ocampos and Sanson there is creativity still there. Payet or not
2-0. Not trying to be condescending, but that goal is why. Griezmann, Costa, absolutely lethal. Germain chance nearly hit the corner flag. Atletico defense is sensational, individually and collectively. Marseille like Arsenal, always have mistakes at the back in them. Atletico are simply a level or 2 above every team in this competition. If they had Costa in the CL group stage, they'd be there or thereabouts in winning the CL in the latter stages of it I reckon.

I'm fully aware of the quality of Atletico and that they are a level above not just Marseille but most teams in Europe. The composure and finish was top drawer. I just found it odd to see how easily Marseille were being written off. It made sense at the time as I typed it - maybe not so much now!

I stand by the dodgy peno comment though
