Aye you were dropped for a reason Joe most likely the same reason you weren't picked by England
Hart comes across for awhile now as a seriously deluded person. Contrary to what Hart says, Moyes biggest mistake by far while West Ham manager was to give Hart a number of starts. A handful more starts and there's a serious chance West Ham would be a championship side now.
"I called him an embarrassment to FIFA and to himself," .... He said 'No-one speaks to me like that'.... and I said, "well I do' and that was that."

He may have 75 caps or whatever it is but that's really all he had in his favour compared to the other keepers. Foster at WBA would also be ahead of him at this stage so he was never really close to making it.

It will be interesting to see the full squad when it's announced - CBs likely to be Stones, Jones, Maguire and Smalling I'd imagine.
I would say Tarkowski instead of Smalling and you're right, unless I'm forgetting someone. With Southgate comments on Smalling awhile back I would be amazed if he is selected.

You may well be right - forgot he omitted Smalling from one of his squads recently. Seems harsh considering Smalling was more or less an ever-present in the second best defence in the league.

He played Kyle Walker as a centre half in a back 3 in the last 2 friendlies. Surprising as he can't really defend and his best strength is bombing up and down the wing.

Who's going to sing the anthem like a **** now Hart isn't there?

The reason it's a big call is that Southgate said in an interview only 5 months ago that Hart was still his number one. Going from that to not making the squad in such a short time has to be a major surprise.I agree though that he's miles past his best and the faith he was showing in him seemed ludicrous..

Hart has always thought that he is head and shoulders above the rest.

Ashley Young only on the standby list. A blow to Roy Keane's punditry a lot of which would have consisted of how crap he is.

Knowing Roy's track record at World Cups he might get called up yet

Southgate doesn't seem to have any time for Smalling despite him being the most in form England centre half.

You'd have to feel sorry for the like of Glenn Murray considering the season he's had. Should definitely be on the stand-by list.

So 'England play a 3-4-2-1 type formation right?

most likely starting 11 would be

            -----Pickford------
       Stones-Maguire-Jones
Walker Henderson-Dier-Rose
         Sterling--Alli
               --Kane--

Even though I think Walker might play as part of that back 3 with Trippier as the right wingback

There will be zero expectancy on this squad, which might work in their favour. Still expect them to get knocked out in the last 16 though.

That's some achievement for Alexander-Arnold to make the squad aged 18. It would also suggest Lass is correct on the predicted line-up as if Walker doesn't play as one of the CBs they'd be bringing 3 right backs.

The decision to bring Danny Rose is shocking just checked he played 14 games this season
I know Southampton and West Ham didn't have the greatest of seasons but
Betrand and Cresswell played 40 and 39 games respectively
