Maybe last week but the Stock Market has had a bad time of it this week.

I read earlier some analysts speculating that part of the Bitcoin drop was due to the drop in the stock markets and partly to do with countries tightening regulation.

I don't follow the markets but had heard they were at all time highs over the past few months, probably cause Trump was taking the credit for them

Yeah, SPX ( S and P 500) has gone boom since mid november - like 2560 to 2870. Back around 2790 now. Steep enough drop in a week or so but its not exactly panic stations

The key paragraph...

The latest sell-off follows reports that US regulators are investigating whether the spike in the price of bitcoin in 2017 was the result of market manipulation. India’s finance minister said the country did not recognise the cryptocurrency as legal tender, pledging to fight their use for “illegitimate activities”.

The establishment has had enough. Game over!
