Anyone using BOI and do they have additional charges?
When I signed up they did this too and I'm BOI.
IIrc then it was refunded a couple of days later.

Interesting, I presume you have used it plenty of times since and not been charged by boi?
Yeah, I've used it since and no extra charges.
It was only on the first authorisation.

Thanks for this little tip. It's not often that I book a one way flight from a country in the eurozone but yesterday saved myself €7 with two clicks thanks to the above. In my case they converted the euro price to sterling. (UK credit card) ...great timing with that post Sham, I wouldn't have spotted. It's sneakily hidden.

They are introducing a commission free shares trading service

Clap

Revolut plans to launch a commission-free share trading service for its more than 2m users, positioning the start-up as one of the most aggressive digital challengers to British high street lenders.

The company, which allows people to transfer and spend money in 120 currencies with no fees using a pre-paid card and digital wallet, will on Thursday announce plans to offer a free service to trade in UK and US shares.

The move mimics the fast-growing service already offered by Robinhood to more than 4m people in the US. It underlines how fintech companies are rapidly branching out to offer a range of services beyond their initial area of specialisation as they seek to add more customers.

Being paid for some work I did in the UK and they want to know do I want to be paid in Sterling or Euro.

If I say Sterling will my bank charge me a sh*te exchange rate?  But will their bank charge a hefty exchange rate anyway on their side if I want to be paid in Euro?  So is there any difference?

I've had this card over a year now and nothing but hassle.

It has only worked sporadically, don't ever recall it working abroad.

Went to Tesco and got shopping and paid by this card and payment wasn't accepted so then paid with my CC. Got home and get a payment accepted notification.

I also notice card payment issues notification in my application too. This appears to be going on weeks now.

"There is a problem with the MasterCard network which is causing some card payments to fail. This issue is affecting a large number of international banks. We'll update you as soon as we know more."

"Good news. The problem with our payment processor has been fixed and everything should be working again. If you have a pending payment, please note that this should only take about an hour or so, but it can take as long as 72 hours in some instances."

The Facebook comments is a bottomless pit of customers complaining, with one person in particular having to prove where her wages came from to get access her own money.

It's one outage after another.
