Lads, who'll be our captain on the night?

O'Shea, Whelan or Walters maybe (if picked)?

Brady with a nod to the longer-term...?

Whoever is closest to the kit-man when he takes it out of the bag, it is merely ceremonial.

When he returns from injury Seamus Coleman will be captain and will be for the long term, right now we just need someone reliable who is also a likely starter, would think Walters.

If Sabitzer is out, that would be excellent. He's a class operator for Leipzig and hit the bar against us.  One of their big players now.

Apparently he's out for five weeks, so won't make the match:  http://www.lattenkreuz.de/sabitzer-oberarm-verletzt/

Burgstaller, the striker they'll likely have start instead of Janko, has had a prolific season.

14 goals in 16 games in the Bundesliga 2 for Nuremburg, before moving to Schalke and notching 9 goals in 17 games. That's pretty ferocious goal-scoring. Seems to have hit form at the right time for them.

They'll likely have Alaba coming down the left against Christie.  Two causes for concern.

Know what you're saying about the Alaba /Christie situation.......Crusty is no Goliath...another k.o for Dave!                 That's an impressive goalscoring record from this guy, especially as it's in the Bundesliga...must be good! He'll also be keen to impress.

McClean and Randolph are the only Premier League players travelling to the US. No word on Arter yet but he should be ok

I thought they played Alaba in the middle?
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

Yep, they've been playing Alaba in the middle for the past year or so.

However with Fuchs gone left back/ left wing back has become a problem position for them.  As Wimmer showed playing there against us in Vienna, without Fuchs, they're, well, fuched.

So Alaba played as a left wing-back in their last game against Moldova.

Am I right that he's playing left-sided centre-half for Bayern the last few games?  That seems to be the case, though my gran could probably put play there for Bayern in their league and be grand.  And she's dead a good few years now.

Its all well and good playing him there against Moldova but does Koller have the bottle to play him there away to us? I think he'll revert to what he knows and play him in the middle.

Arter confirmed to be fit and attending.

Hopefully not worryingly, but Liam Kelly will not be joining up with the squad for this competitive fixture.  Seems an odd call on the face of it.  Hope there's not a risk of his head being swayed.
