Would you be in favour of Ireland getting Stephen Kenny in? (even at the expense of Dundalk)

At the expense of Dundalk, no

My sole purpose on this forum is to pounce on idiocy! Which is also, partly,  why I have so many posts!!

Maybe try to find yourself a woman(or man) might help you find a new purpose in life. May be more rewarding than trying to pounce on posters.
I have one, she's great. She is far more rewarding alright, but sometimes it is the little things in life.........

He's looking sharp alright.

MON won't play him but, too much riding on it. By god we could have done with a wee fox in the box type player against the serbs

Delighted to see Seanie come on last night, got some touches and won a decent header in the air. If we don't see the play offs he should definitely add to his caps in the November friendly/s
time is the stuff that life is made of, don't waste it.

If he keeps up this form there will be a strong case for him to be at least Ireland's second choice striker

Or play him as a two like a quinn and keane. Esp against the weaker sides.

He set up the other PNE goal as well. Meant to come back to this, he looked sharp enough in his 10 mins V Moldova, I think the Wales game was too big an occasion for any new player (from MON's point of view).

You're not being harsh at all, you're spot on.  He's doing very well in a very good Cork side, as you said any decent LOI striker would be scoring a good few in that team.  He'll never be good enough for the national team.

Maguire didn't cut it in England when he was there which is not a good sign but there's nothing to stop him developing and moving back over and doing well. Still relatively young.  I might throw him int he squad for experience and America was the time to do it but O'Neill balked.  The league has long been over so that's not an excuse imo.  That being said he's still not ready for competitive international football. I think that's obvious.

Maguire has had ONE good season in the LOI. Previously he has failed to make a single West Ham squad, and had underwhelming spells at Accrington, Sligo, and Dundalk. He also failed to display any particular quality when playing with our Under-21's. Maybe Maguire will be an option in the future, but at the moment there is nothing whatsoever to suggest he's better than what we already have. He's way down the list and the lovefest over him is as big a sign of desperation as I've seen in a long time.

Would any of ye like to hazard a guess as to how far down the list he is now ?

Have another go there lads.

Those quotes might not yet be at the level of this one from February 2009 about Seamus Coleman:

However they do have the potential to make some ppl look a little stupid.

No surprises to see Trap Junior there, his judgement has already long been shown to be piss poor. He spouts nonsense, gets called out, and spouts more nonsense to deflect. This one is little harder for him to deflect from, but he'll try nonetheless.
