No guarantee that Mexico will bring a strong squad to New York. They'll probably treat this game similarly to ourselves.

Think that team would get annihilated, the Mexicans have taken a strong squad, and granted many of our starting XI will be second / third choice players, a likely loss against Uruguay and a possible loss against Mexico is hardly a good morale booster for Austria.

Doyle for Westwood at HT
Kelly for O'Kane at HT
Long for Egan on 60 mins
Horgan for Hayes on 60
O'Dowda for Rooney on 75
McGoldrick for Doyle on 75

Keep the main squad for the Uruguay friendly & main Austria game

Yup, that theory's been posted here.  The illegal undocumented Irish are the authorities' figleaf, "We're not being racist.  See?  We're deporting whites too!"

a spic 'n' micks of undesirables?
LOL
Ye see!! That is how to do an edgy joke with context and still be funny. Bravo sir.

I'm going to guess that this is a reference to "Roger Melly the man on the telly" from Viz. Could be completely wrong though.

I f**king love Viz and I have never heard anybody call the telly "the Roger".

Neither have I but it's the only reason I could come up with for calling a telly a roger
Maybe he just names all his electrical appliances; Freddie Fridge, Larry laptop, Tommy Toaster, Roisín Radio, Winifred Washing-Machine the third etc.
