It would be sickening to have an international tournament in your home town and not be a part of it. Regardless of who is playing. But I think there would be potential for Northern fans to cause a bit of trouble. It only takes troublemakers to hop in a car and drive for two hours. The amount of ticketless fans will be huge.

If we fail to beat Slovakia, would you hope the North would win the playoff?
And those with tickets, would you go and support them at the Euros?

If the North qualify, not a hope will I want to be in Dublin. Two weeks abroad might be in order.

Rinus Michels was in charge of Barcelona and the Dutch at the same time, did Spain play against him then? Slutsky was in charge of CSKA and Russia a few years ago, their team had a few expensive signings from abroad.

Firstly we have two very tough games and the chances of us both getting through is the least likely scenario. But Patrick Nelson IFA President said something interesting today- he said he was 'confident' Michael O'Neil would take charge in the play offs. I thought using the word confident was an interesting one. It isn't a sure thing?????

Probably depends on how Stoke are doing. If they were in a relegation battle I'd say it won't be O'Neill on the sideline. Long way to go before then.

I think it's the East Stand area as I believe that was the section the Dutch fans were in when Steve Davis was taking his penalty, though that could have just been the Orange Order

The thing about NI is that from a pure football point of view, it wouldn't really matter where play them. They would be as dangerous to us in Dublin, as we would be to them in Belfast : form would go out the window. Personally, I hope it's an all Irish final. For starters, it would mean us being based in Dublin for the second game.

"Murder" is it? And "guaranteed"? We played you at home four times during the height of The Troubles and I don't recall any fatalities. Or any fights. Or even any scuffles. Though Gspain did get called a "jammy bastard" after the final whistle in 1993. Fortunately he's managed to overcome his PTSD sufficiently to return to WP many times since, where he is most welcome.
Ah right, anything else you'd like? Guaranteed entry to the Finals as "Team 25" perhaps? Anyhow, I've attended 9 of the 11 games between us, home and away, and the only trouble I've seen was after the final whistle of the first one at Lansdowne in 1978, when the NI fans leaving the Main Stand were stoned by a group of wee gurriers who were waiting outside, meaning we had to run for cover. (Not helped by there being builders' rubble lying on the ground, no barriers outside the exit gates, and not a Garda to be seen until it was all over.)

What about the ones who "mingle" in Belfast every other day?
