You've just now noticed he's gone off the boil? He's generally been ineffective for us, apart from a brief spell where he filled his boots against a couple of terrible teams.

Robinson's inconsistency unfortunately is the story of his career. it's the reason why he is where he is. There's no doubt his talent but streaky.

Felt like he was phoning it in on Saturday tbh

I'll say it again, he just isn't a central striker. He doesnt occupy central defenders. I dont think Obafemi is either, thats why I'd start Keane tonight up top (Idah if he was fit). Callum's at his best playing off either flank. The front 3 of Parrott, Robinson and Ogbene on Saturday is similar to previous front 3's we have seen and they have failed to work each and every time.

It will likely be Knight that gets the nod for the advanced midfield position in the 3 tonight and tbf we have looked better when playing that way.

A spell on the bench for us now wouldn't be a bad thing. He offers little in terms of a scoring threat (despite hitting a purple patch last Autumn)
Never quite sure what position he's meant to be, is he a wide player, a striker or a number 10. He's not much of a threat more often than not

I'm a massive critic of ogbene, but he looked miles better than Robinson when he came on.

One of the reasons we struggled in the first two games is the poor performances up front.

Looked miles off the pace tonight, as in after 5 minutes he looked more gassed than Parrott after 80 minutes. Dont know if he is injured or what but nowhere near good enough and was overall poor in all 4 games this window for us.

In general though he is far too inconsistent for club and country, its been the story of his career all bar one good season at Preston a few years ago.

With a fit Obafemi, Ogbene, Parrott and Idah he should start to find himself down the pecking order along with Hogan and Keane.

You would think if Ogbene improves & Idah comes back fit & one or two of the 21s lads progress his chances will be limited going forward.

Lost the ball so often in those two first games.

It’s been a sh*te ten days for him. Needs to pull the socks up badly. Phoned it in against Armenia. Possibly lacks a bit of commitment.

He's just hot and cold. Same with his club form to be fair.

He’ll be surplus to requirements soon if Mick O and Parrott push on

He still did far more within 5 minutes of coming on today then Hogan did for his 60minutes
It would damage this forums' reputation

Different types tbf, and Hogan got f**k all service. Hogan did quite well Sat when he came on; Robinson, though, was sh*te for his cameo.

Let's be honest, He was just ok, he left it all out there to be fair, but he is unlikely to make future squad's if everyone is fit.

I think Hogan's unluckiness with the disallowed goal against Scotland is colouring things for some people. He didn't do terribly much aside from that. Robinson has generally been muck for us and his purple patch, which included a penalty and deflections, never changed my opinion of that.

Agree with that, Hogan is bang average! Robinson can at least pop up with something unexpected!
