Always seems to find a yard in the box. Please god let him become a reliable goal scorer for us

I think many Irish fans were too critical of him against Wales, I'd say Messi would have struggled that night the way we were set up.
Seems to have a brilliant attitude, great to have him on board with us!

Agree with you regarding the Wales game. It’s too early to write him off |

Yeah, great attitude, bit of pace and nice touch.
Clearly not a finisher though... much more of a winger than a striker or no 10 imo.

Six goals in his last eight games. He has to start vs the Danes.
What is his best posistion though? It appears he can play on either wing, upfront, or at 10.

In fairness GD, I don't remember any criticism in the media or on here towards Robinson in that game. Apart from O'Dowda, there was noone that came out of that game with too much credit whether it was the manager or the players.

A great return for any attacking player, never mind one in a struggling side. At least his versatility will give us options. Haven't seen enough of him to say what his best position would be though.

I'm willing to give every player the benefit of the doubt under this regime. Any judgement should be reserved for the the next manager to take the reigns.

Probably our most in form player right now, maybe other that Doherty. Another 2 goals today.

Fair play to him in this, seems like a genuine lad who’s proud to play for us. Great to see

Robinson had a better chance of getting an England call up than the likes of Kelly and Bamford who both seem to be holding out for one reason or another.
Fair play to him for declaring for us when he did. I read a few reports recently that Bournemouth might be interested in him, which I think would be a good move. Also - Jack Grealish (aged 23). Games in championship this season - 17, goals 1, assists 2. Callum Robinson (aged 23). Games in championship this season - 16, goals 7, assists 2. Both players spend the bulk of their game time as attacking midfielders / left wingers. Robinson’s stats vs Grealish are even more impressive when you factor in that Grealish is playing for a much stronger side. Grealish is supposedly worth £40 million 😂

That's nice wishful thinking alright. Robinson is a great addition for us - I love his attitude and he was prob MOTM in the last game, but Grealish is a far better player.
Grealish's "stats" this season are reflective of an entire team doing poorly. It's no coincidence the likes of Spurs were in for him, (though understandably put off by an astronomical price tag laid down by Villa who were terrified of losing him). He never loses the ball, wins frees left right and centre and gets loads of assists (a crap Villa this season aside). He was immense in the play-off final v Fulham for example and was Villa's best player last year, being one of the main reasons they made a surge to the play-offs after a poor start. Also, has a great attitude on the pitch, works his back-side off, and has that rare ability, seldom-seen since Ronaldo left England, of beating his man. Expect to see him capped for England within a year or so, injuries permitting. I will be surprised if he's not at a PL club next year. He was a sad loss for us, all the more so because he has very strong Irish roots (3 Irish grandparents, GAA upbringing, regular holidays in Ireland, family in the Irish community in Solihull), more so than even Rice it would appear for example. The number of frees he wins would have been great for our current attacking "tactics" of hoofing it in to Duffy in the box.

**Disclaimer - I really like CR However, do you really want to compare Jack Grealish and CR on stats? There is one lad who is probably the best player in the whole division and the other that may not make the best 11 in the division. It's madness how people can be swayed by stats. I put it this way. Come retirement there will be 1 player with 200/300 PL appearances and one with with maybe 45/50. One will be an England starter or close to it and the other will play for us. JG despite people hating him which is clearly as factor is a super talent and destined for bigger things. Loyalty, an injury and maybe a club pulling out are the only reasons he's not in PL right now. |

He was some great white hope that England needed to have 4 years ago. Now he's 23 and still playing in the championship. This is not somebody who is going to fulfil the early promise. If he was "that" good, he wouldn't be togging out for a mid table championship team. As another example, and not to sh*t on Seamus Coleman, while he is a very good player, he's not a great player. Great players don't spend the best years of their life at Everton. These things are just facts.
