MEN'S QUARTER-FINAL
Top half Murray 1 v Querrey 24 Muller 16 v Cilic 7 Bottom Half Raonic 6 v Fed 3 Berdych 11 v Djokovic 2 All four favs should go through but given the season its been I expect there to be one upset. Raonic probably has the best chance as he beat Fed last year in 5. If Dokovic is fit he should beat Berdych but he had the trainer on yesterday to look at his shoulder. |

Fed was carrying an injury last year, his semi loss to Raonic was his last match of 2016. Raonic not playing as well this year. Raonic still is the toughest draw in the quarters for the Top 4 (minus Nadal). I thought Berdych was about the same age as Federer, but he is only a year or so older than Djokovic/Murray. Murray v Querrey 2-1 sets, 1-3 down in 4th.
Murray walking around like an old man, big serve Sam Querrey trying to keep Murray running. Long match in progress.

Federer head to heads against his three remaining rivals :
V Berdych 18-6 V Cilic 6-1 V Querrey 3-0 Think he has it won barring injury. Never saw a Grand Slam with so many injuries and retirements. |

Yeah Fed will be the massive fav now. I think only Cilic has the game that could trouble him on grass. If he wins this he has a great chance of getting to No1 in the world again which is crazy given he is 36 in Aug. |

Mens 1/2 final day today
Cilic 7 v Querrey 24 Fed 3 v Berdych 11 I think Cilic will have too much for Querrey and Fed will steamroll over Berdych. Cilic in 5 Fed in 3 |

Cilic in 4.
I checked the score about 30 mins ago and Querrey was 3-1 up in the fourth. Ended up losing it 7-5.

Muguruza the First Lady to beat both Williams sisters in a grand slam final.....(singles or doubles).
Once she saved the two set points in the first set she was just too good. Her dept was amazing and forced Venus into loads of mistakes. Cilic v Fed the big one today. It's 5 years since Fed last won at Wimbledon- it would be an amazing story if he won again. If he plays like he did in the 1/4 final he wins this. He wasn't at his best in the semifinal which was a little worrying. This could go to 5. |

Cilic before the final "This is the first time in years I've been 100% fit"
Think it's as much in his mind as anything else. He's found the occasion way too big for him and is looking at over-exaggerating an injury to his foot to overshadow that. Just my opinion of course. |

Yeah it's 100% mental, he seems to be moving okay, just making too many mistakes.
Fed just needs to hold serve one more time to win his 8th Wimbledon without dropping a set at 35 years old - that is insane. Only Borg has won Wimbledon without dropping a set in the open era. Fed has also done it at the Australian open. Nadal has done it 3 times at the French. Borg also did it at the French. |

Most expected Federer to win but no one saw this embarrassment and no show coming, especially as Cillic has won a grand slam. That was against Nishikori though another GS final debutant so a very different thing.
Will definitely be switching channels before the uncomfortable speeches. Ouch.

Class tournament by Federer. At his 18th appearance at Australia this year he won his 18th major. At his 19th appearance at Wimbledon this year he won his 19th major. Favourite now to win US Open in 6 weeks. Fed 5/2 Nadal 7/2 Djoko 9/2 Murray 11/2 With Djokovic and Murray possibly taking time off and Nadal's dodgy knees on the hard courts it could be another great chance for him to add to his total. The way he has just swept aside some of the rest of the best (Raonic/Dimitrov/Berdych/Cilic/Zverev) makes it look very do-able. Nadal is only 4 behind him and could well win another 2 or 3 French Opens. Ultimately I think it will be major totals that will decide who is the GOAT. For me it is Federer. |

That Australian open victory was absolutely massive. If Nadal wins that it would have been 17 v 16 before Wimbledon began. That win took a lot of pressure of FED and definitely helped him win Wimbledon and makes him the huge fav for the US open. |
