Calm down there like a good lad. What pedestals, self appointed or otherwise, is anyone on. This lad may very well have been to most of our games. However if he hasn't been to any aways this campaign he doesn't deserve a ticket ahead of people who have been to an away game this campaign for a match that is going to be oversubscribed. That is just being fair and I'd love to know how you figure that could be unreasonable?

The reality is that there are loads of people who went to home and away games that will not get a ticket.

When are we supposed to get an email asking for a deposit?
After application or after being successful?
Can't remember from before and paranoid as I haven't received any email looking for a deposit...

If and when your successful! I reckon your going to have to have a couple of aways under your belt based on the latest press release from the FAI " safe journey to the 1000+ supporters who travelled to Georgia " .Best of luck.

Seriously? I'd be thinking a lot more than that. Could be a game where a win would see us top the group

all i was trying to say is once we know how many travelled then announce next steps, keeping it quiet only gets the rumour mill going rightly or wrongly

as for aways i havent had an issue yet and have a good record so should be ok for wales but there are some on here with the sense of entitlement, might as well cue up joe duffy for a show on this.....

I don't think it is the that people feel entitled. It is the way the FAI distribute the tickets. The very fact the FAI think that they are being great the fans will be given 45% of the tickets.

This is an absolute disgrace that 55% will be going to corporate etc. It should 90% going to fans.

before you ask I have an OK record a season ticket holder/ block booker for 15 years before that I would line up outside the office on Merrion Square. i try to go to 1 or 2 away matches a campaign.

I know I have little chance to get tickets for wales. I order the most expensive tickets in the hope that that category will be less popular.

As far as I am aware for fans direct it's based off your last 4 years record. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's scored as 60 points per season ticket and either 10 or 20 for an away game.
In past 4 seasons I have
4 x season ticket
8 x away games

I fully expect to get a ticket.

People talk about entitlement as if they aren't in favour of some sort sliding scale of ticket distribution

Because if they aren't they must be in favour of everybody in the hat and some sort of random draw where the person who has went to no games has the same chance as those who have went to the last 4

Cant have it both ways
