Long time lurker and first time poster and all that. Seen on facebook this afternoon that a company called Party Rock Travel are advertising packages for this game so I contacted them wondering about a ticket (as their post was very vague).

Long story short, they reckon they are getting an allocation from the FAI but if you book the package now, it doesn't include the ticket. (it can just be added on).  Im just wondering has anyone used them and do you think they will actually get tickets from the FAI? Dont want to book a package and be left without a ticket.

Stay well away from them, the only way they will get tickets is via tout websites, and they will fleece you for the travel and hotel aswell.

I know nothing :-)

Charging €299 for travel and 3 nights accommodation (don't say where accommodation is and as we all know not alot available in Cardiff)

*edit as no flights included as 1st thought

If the accommodation is in Cardiff, that's a pretty good price at this stage of the game.

At that price for 3 nights, it's bound to be some dingy hostel. And as Brendy Eire alludes to above, it might not even be in Cardiff. It would probably be ok if you're up for an all-night party/drinking session and even then you might end up thinking there are better hostels about. LOL

Abbey Travel are more expensive at the best of times but this time they're chartering flights for both day and overnight trips (an expensive business in itself):

Unlike PRT, they've at least named their accommodation for their overnight trips (as they always do) which you can at least look up and get reviews but you can be pretty sure it'll be a good spot. Plus they guarantee tickets (as an add-on) and you know they'll be official tickets allocated by the FAI.

So I'd agree with GF in saying avoid that PRT crowd like the plague. That old adage springs to mind - if it looks too good to be true...

Ah no. Sure remember Pilgrims Abroad? They had a very decent package a few years ago. Looked a bit off from the outset. Dodgy looking website designed by a junior cert intern but sure. Savings passed onto us, the customer.

Direct flights, decent hotel - very reasonable.

And sure didn't it all go......

Ah.....right ye are.

Would like to hope there is no chance of them getting tickets fai especially for this game as it will be oversubscribed especially if both teams have something to play for

"flights"?

They get the ferry from Rosslare, and you have to get your own way to Rosslare!

When will the ticket application process open for this game? Assuming around August?

Probably but don't see them being allocated until after the Georgia game.
