Tom Bradshaw has had a good season with Barnsley too but he's very unlikely to see any gametime with Vokes usually first choice.

I just think people shouldn't underestimate them, or perhaps I'm rating them too highly

I'd prefer to go gung-ho put this too bed. It's being a while since we have being in this position might as well run with it sure If we lose we can still do qualify.

You come out with some strange ones.......

How could you say a squad with the likes of Joe Allen, Ashley Williams, Ben Davies, Andy King etc in are mediocre when you factor in that they would all start for us?

Andy King wouldn't start for us and while Allen might, it's a long way from automatic.

exactly very little between the teams - they have the one world class player too. We need to be at our best to get a result.

Joe Allen "might" start, come out of the clouds will you, he would walk into our midfield LOL

Andy King is as good as the likes of Hendrick, Whelan etc who regularly start for us.

Certainly ahead of Glenn Whelan. Come to think of it, the Molly Malone statue could walk into the team ahead of Whelan...and would supply more mobility. LOL

Joe Allen is better than all of our midfielders.

Agree and I think O'Neill the pragmatist will rightly take this approach. We don't dominate games for 90 minutes so need to manage the course of the game so that we finish strongly. If we're losing I think we'll have enough energy left to put Wales under pressure.

A draw is more damaging for them than us.

Joe Allen was signed by Stoke to play the same position as Whelan and Whelan still starts in his preferred position.

I think that well Allen has some great attributes we need to target him as he often holds on to the ball too long in dangerous areas.

I like Allen but he wouldn't be as creative as Hoolahan. Different type of player but he's a good all rounder and gives you more than Whelan. I think Arter is very similar to Allen but just more rash. Allen certainly would walk into our midfield.

Is he? Allen was ridiculed for years before having a good Euros, upon which he suddenly seemed to become an excellent player.... He's not much better or worse than most of our midfield options.

Perhaps the two bolded above would be part of our squad would they be automatic starters I don't think so.

Of the two perhaps Davies would have a strong case in terms of competing with Ward but in terms of our game plan and style I think our current midfield would be ahead of Allen.

He was dreadful in the semi-final, the Portuguese clearly targeted him.

A draw is a very damaging result for Wales I think. Defeat for them is unthinkable as it more or less means they cant win the group barring a miracle. Its a tough one for us. A draw is ok but a loss would be really damaging morale wise. I think O'Neil will be pragmatic and very wary of Bales pace on the counter so I expect him to go cautious knowing a draw isn't the worst result but hopeful we can nick the 3 points.
Walters coming back from an offside position but Shane Long was definitely onside- Shane Lonnggggggg.... has done it!!!!

Davies and Ward, there is zero comparison ffs LOL

Ashley Williams would easily be our best center half.

Sam Vokes is a better player than Daryl Murphy, Lawerence is on fire for Ipswich, Chester and Collins would be at least on a par with Clark and Duffy too.

So by your logic, Ireland's squad is mediocre too?

Well you did say Ramsey was more important to Wales than Bale and Bale is nothing without him Dead
