Seven players on 1 goal.
Let's hope neither Hogan nor Keane win it. Disposable, limited, sub-standard, streak merchants, according to the YBIG consensus.

Yes. Let's hope they don't score. If we are lucky enough, maybe one of them could do their ACL.

Good strike for his goal.

Fans wishing their own players don't score goals and don't win the golden boot award? That is really really strange and sad.Embarrassed

Here's the stats for our Championship Strikers this season (League Games only). MPGI is minutes per goal involvement. You can take the last 2 columns with a pinch of salt. They refer to Man of the Match awards as per Whoscored.com and the final column is their Whoscored Rating for the season. I'll update every so often but given the main contenders (bar Connolly) are all playing in the same League, it seems like a reasonable way to compare and contrast. I'll add the likes of Idah, Maguire and Scully if and when they play enough games.

APPS GLS AST MINS MPGI MOTM WSR
KEANE 11 5 1 909 152 1 6.95
HOGAN 12 5 1 1033 172 1 6.68
OGBENE 11 4 0 975 244 3 7.01
PARROTT 10 (2) 0 0 862 N/A 0 6.51
OBAFEMI 7 (3) 2 1 671 224 0 6.49
ROBINSON 4 (1) 1 3 382 96 2 6.99

Awkward enough tbh - I know Keane has scored 2 (not sure if both were in the League) and Robinson has missed one. Anyway a goal is a goal.

There's certainly no metric on there that indicates our starting pair should be Obafemi and Parrott Smile

Keane and Hogan putting a bit of daylight between themselves and the chasing pack on the Irish Championship goalscorers table.

But we don't like him. He's 29.

Think Keane is more then good enough for this level. Injuries have robbed him from showing that. We see with Idah in his young career how much they can hold back a player especially that type of big strong forward who needs consistency and repetition to learn the craft.

Would expect him to get 15 goals plus if he stays fit. Clearly talented.
