Fairly anonymous alright. His situation I always found a funny one. I had wondered if he hadnt been given a fair crack given his slightly unusual journey, especially with the Kenny underage alumni maybe getting some more preference on game time. So a disappointing performance given he was provided with a start.

Agree with others, that Idah will get the nod ahead even if Keane is having a better club performance. Some players just raise it for country.

In truth if he ends up a squad player with little opportunity then the likes of Ferguson be better served to build experience.

Jury still out.

He should be in the stands at Wembley supporting his brother shouting 'No Surrender'!

He wouldn't set me free,
So he kept me soul for ransom.

It was only one game. Few things didn't come off for him. There is a question mark if he is a number 9 that could lead the line or is he more of a 10.
I wouldn't rule out Keane contributing still moving forward

Hotlips was right in his assessment thus far.

That said it was only one game, so he will probably be included in some more squads in the future where he will get another chance to impress.
It would damage this forums' reputation

seems like his success with wigan this year has been as no10. he was ineffective last night, dont think you can fully judge him on 77 mins of football across 3 games but as has been mentioned, hes 29 and we have promising younger players in that area. not sure how many more chances he'll get

looks to be in a long line of average footballers with poor touches who we have played upfront over the years for one or two games.  Macken, Folan, Collins and a few more.  Could have been nerves but his touch was terrible.

Kenny is looking for a replacement for Idah. To be honest, I'd love to see Parrott get a shot as number 9 in nations league.
Seems Kenny would prefer someone a bit more physical. But think Parrott can still get you goals from crosses, he has a great instinct on where the ball is going to drop.

With his performance in Bari, he's probably the player who played the least for us but who had one of the more memorable impacts.

Jon Macken's Ireland career consisted of the 27 minutes he played as a sub for Clinton Morrison in 2004 in a home game against Bulgaria.

To think he was a Premier League regular at the time. Goes to show how much are players club careers have regressed over the years. Lee Trundle was tearing it up in L1 at the time and couldn't get within an arses roar of the squad despite begging Kerr to pick him.
