Falling out with players is my reading between the lines on it.

"BVB attaches great importance to the fact that the cause of the separation had absolutely nothing to do with a disagreement between the two parties. The wellbeing of Borussia Dortmund, to which they were much more than only sporting success, will always be more important than individuals and possible differences between them.”

The last line implies no difficulties between Tuchel and Dortmund but between Tuchel and some other individuals, players being the most obvious.

The chief scout was due to join HSV during the winter break after falling out with Tuchel. When that move did not happen it looked like the decision on Tuchel had already been made. Irishmale will have the full story.
