Solid and dependable on the ball, clear to see West Ham are a better team when he is playing at least. That said, he was shrugged off the ball for Wolves' second goal by Jimenez and was pulled all over the shop after the break.

Like in previous impressive displays, much of their threat was delivered via wide positions as wing-backs Matt Doherty and Otto both featured prominently.

And on the other side, Doherty made more sprints than any home player in the first period and was unfortunate his surging run was not rewarded with a penalty when Arthur Masuaku's crude challenge upended him.

Doherty's tied to us, right...?

How do we know that from the fact that soutgate is going to see wolves v west ham

Wouldn’t the FAI have to be informed before any paperwork is processed, so if it was, surely they’d have already come out and said so?

The answer to both questions is we don’t know.

Given that he was born in Dublin, that there's nothing to suggest any of his parents or grandparents are not from Ireland, that there's no reason to suggest that he holds a UK passport, that he has been capped in a competitive game for us and that there hasn't been a player in half a century, if not longer, who has played competitive games for two different countries, I'd say we're set.

Maybe if Neil Warnock commented on the death, in which case it would be busy with people expressing their annoyance at Warnock

The real beauty of it is you could have spent the last 5-6 months in a coma, woke up thinking 'I wonder how that Declan Rice saga panned out'  reread 200 and whatever pages of updates and NOTHING would have changed from August!
