Probbably about 4-6 weeks prior to the game.

Had to pick them up at the team hotel on Rustavilli the last time. I assume it'll be the same this time round

That went so well for a lot that they were even given Scotland tickets by McGlue upon arrival

Really ? I don't think so. Next away game after Georgia is against another British team , same as last time and I think this one will have more significance. Imagine the abuse they would get , poor Joe LOL They will probably have us collect them from Betsys Hotel instead LOL

Yea I know a few taking the 4pm . Mate of mine flies the Dub/Lut route and says it's on time most of the time and will make connection easily enough .

Is 55 minutes enough time for a protected layover in Riga would anybody know?

Protected, no doubt it's fine.

They'll want you to make it and get you an escort if needs be. Sure chances are the planes will probably be sitting next to one another on the tarmac. Even if the first flight is 30 minutes late, it'll still be grand.

I take it you're flying with Air Baltic? We took that route to Gatwick on the previous occasion and will be again this time.

When we landed in Riga we had to disembark, went through a door to the terminal, took a sharp right and joined the queue to board the plane to London which just happened to be the same plane we just got off...a bit farcical but I guess I can always say I've been to Latvia LOL

I'm sure it'll be the same set up again.

Actually yeah that sounds quite likely. The layover would be close to the right length anyway.

Then again (from a quick check on flightradar24) I can see that the last three flights in to Riga from Tbilisi with Air Baltic have went on to Vienna, Amsterdam and Munich, so maybe not. Still, once the connection is guaranteed, it'll be grand.

Yep flying with Air Baltic to Gatwick, and that does sound a bit of a farce but at least you can't miss it I suppose , havent booked it but probably doing it the morning of Serbia game because the day before is very expensive, get home with loads of time just be wrecked for the match

7 of us on the tbilisi - riga - gatwick route too. It would probably nearly make sence to use the same plane.
