No, no he didn't.

Brighton play total football so where were all his goals there  ?
Now the narrative will shift to him being a Premier league movement god wasted in the Championship pig sty will it   ?

did you even watch the game? boro were shocking and the lad got no service.

Watched it, yes.
Lad is brought there to improve them & didn't impact.

When were these unseen runs  ?

Any time I have seen him play well its been out wide where he can get up to speed and dribble, but he doesnt want to play that position

I agree with this.
Heard him say his favourite position is central but have yet to se him be effective for any team there.

All his best work came from wide left and that's where he should be deployed.

Seen 2nd half and he was pretty much anonymous. Skyed a very good chance. At one stage I wasn't sure if he was still on the pitch, I thought I missed a substitution or something.

Clear early leader for the Green Tint of the Year award.

As usual, the truth is somewhere in the middle.
He was mostly anonymous, as were all the 'Boro attacking players.

They were a much better team in the 2nd half, but that wouldn't have been difficult after the tepid 1st half performance where they dominated possession but little else.

It's good news he's getting consecutive starts in matches and it'll take him a while to settle in.
'Boro do have other attacking options so he will find himself dropped at some point, hopefully later than sooner, but that's to be expected.

He'll need a few more games to find his feet which will be helped if he can pop up with a goal.

Blackburn are a strong defensive team so not Overy surprised that it wasn't easy for him.

Early days, but he was woeful.

he was poor last night should have hit the target with his chance late on.

Let’s see how is going in 5 games time if he keeps getting starts hopefully he improves with the games and settles down.

Poor again in first half. Snatching at everything and bad touch. Looks devoid of any kind of confidence.

Can't disagree.
You feel the lad needs a goal to settle him down...looks anxious, and has gone a long time in football terms without a goal.

Yea looks like he wants to get rid of it as quick as possible whenever it comes into him. Would be great if he could grab a goal.

He better sort his sh!t out or he'll be going back to Brighton with less confidence than when he left. A failed championship loan at 22 is really bad news.

Christ, Connolly is getting torn apart on twitter by Boro fans. This doesn't bode well.

You'd have to worry about Connolly.

There's a long list of young Irish players who've made a great impact over a brief period of time at PL level only to fade away due to a variety of issues. I'm thinking of Reddy, Thornton, O'Neill, Flood and Ireland. Then you have Stokes with his disciplinary issues.

He was fantastic in his first few months in the PL, not just with his double against Spurs, but he hasn't been able to sustain it. His form has been poor for a long time, and now the dropoff is continuing in the Championship.

There's no guarantees that he'll be successful even at that level. We've all made excuses for him for a long time but he has it all to do now.

I'm rooting for him.

Left foot has a point but it's not all doom and gloom. Loads of defenders performing well and keeping clean sheets again today; Lenihan, Dunne, McLoughlin, Egan, McNamara. Travers kept a clean sheet as well and has been touted as Bournemouth's most consistent player recently; he's really growing in stature and his confidence seems to be a reference point for the rest of the side. Brady absent again, however, which is disappointing but ultimately not surprising.
