A 21 year old with Premiership appearances dropping down to Non-League football making the decisions himself is unheard of in this modern day. I'd guess he just wants to drop down the football pyramid and work his way up and if that's the mindset he's taken then fair play to him.

Woking have a bit of a reputation for signing promising players on short term contracts with the goal of selling or getting them back into the league. It makes sense for both parties. |

Not sure how it can be described as disappointing like. He got 7 starts in 6 months for a League 2 side who finished 22nd in the league. He's recognised he needs to play games to develop and that he needs to go backwards in order to go forwards.
The lad aint daft, he's clearly thought it through.

That's all well and good if it works out, but if something goes wrong for him he doesn't have much room to fall back into from which he could still make a recovery after Woking. At least if you go to a L1/L2 club and don't settle for whatever reason, you've got a bit more wriggle room in terms of rebounding in the future. Anyway, good look to him, he'll be lining up with a previous promising prospect, Kane Ferdinand.

He already joined a League 2 club, albeit on loan, and it didn't work out for him.

He'd been training with Bolton for a few months. Fair play to him for getting back into football, he'll be a top player for Rovers.
