Protests against Nazis in the late 30s, anti Franco displays in Spain , clubs like Barca pushing their nationalism, far right groups in beitar jerusalems support, Croatian fans and their protests, matches have led to wars in South America and the balkans so yes it’s f**king political.

there’s been a bus to all the games last season for direct provision , and at Christmas the club bars were jammed for a Christmas party with toys supplied from very kind donations to not just the kids there but a load delivered to other centres too.
Must give our old chums at shams a shout out too on this front, they had kids from I think Clondalkin dp centre at every home game last season, credit where due and all that Now that’s the last civil word for that shower
